NVIDIA K1

La NVIDIA Tegra K1 (Tegra 5) è un SoC (System on a Chip) ARM-based realizzato prevalentemente per tablets e smartphones high-end Android. Le sue principali features includono cinque ARM Cortex A15 cores (4+1), ed una scheda grafica Kepler-based con 192 CUDA cores, un controller di memoria dual-channel 64-bit (fino a 4 GB), video codecs per codifica e decodifica fino a 4k ed un dual ISP. E' realizzato da TSMC con processo in 28nm HPM per un miglior picco di prestazioni (in contrasto con il processo 28nm HPL del Tegra 4 ottimizzato per il low leakage).

Nel 2014, Nvidia introdurrà una seconda versione del Tegra K1 con due cores "Denver" fino a 2.5 GHz. Similmente all'Apple "Cyclone", il Denver è già 64-bit capable (ARMv8) ed è stato sviluppato da Nvidia. Specialmente le prestazioni per-core dovrebbero essere nettamente superiori al modello Cortex-A15.
