In questa sezione vogliamo brevemente elencare tutte le schede grafiche per portatili disponibili al momento. In aggiunta diamo anche un valore approsimativo dei vari benchmark (3D Mark al momento - lo trovate in italico sotto il nome della scherda grafica).

Classe 1
formidabile adatte al gaming - Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).

Come tutte le schede con capacità DirectX 10, la GeForce GTX 280M gestisce le immagini 3D utilizzando la "Unified Shaders". Non esistono più shaders pixel- e vertex dedicati ma 112 processori chiamati stream che fanno il lavoro grafico (fatto in precedenza dagli shaders pixel and vertex shaders). Inoltre, le unità shader hanno clock superiori rispetto al chip (1375 MHz).

adatte al gaming - Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

Il core della GTS250M è chiamato GT215 e secondo Nvidia si basa sull'attuale architettura desktop di fascia alta (serie GTX 200). Inoltre, Nvidia ha implementato una micro-architettura per un ulteriore risparmio energetico ed incremento prestazionale. Pertanto, le prestazioni per unità shader della scheda GeForce dovrebbero essere leggermente superiori rispetto alla generazione precedente.
