Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Con lo ZenFone Go, Asus realizza uno smartphone che si fa notare nella fascia medio-bassa. Il case solido, la batteria removibile, e le decenti foto in condizioni di luce buona sono punti positivi. Tuttavia, dovrete accettare prestazioni relativamente basse che si notano quando navigate attraverso i menu. Inoltre, il modulo GPS ha dei cali, il contrasto è medio e l'illuminazione non omogenea.

A nostro parere, fa piacere che Asus fornisca un dispositivo con le ultime patches di sicurezza Google via updates. Tuttavia, un update all'ultimo sistema operativo non ce lo si aspetta in questa fascia di prezzo. Lo schermo ha colori abbastanza precisi e anche l'utilizzo è piacevole.

Lo ZenFone Go offre aspetti positivi, come batteria removibile e case solido. Tuttavia, Asus avrebbe dovuto dare maggiore potenza.

Nel complesso, possiamo raccomandare lo ZenFone Go a coloro che non necessitano di prestazioni elevate. Tuttavia, dovrete guardare da lontano i modelli dei concorrenti, come l'Huawei P8 lite (2017) o il Lenovo K6, che costano lo stesso o poco di più.
