Più caldo, rumoroso, veloce e potente. L'Asus ROG Strix GL703VM è una versione più potente del GL703VD, che abbiamo recensito ad ottobre. In aggiunta ad una GPU più potente, il GL703VM ha un display da 120 Hz, ma la rumorosità e le temperature sono migliorabili.

L'Asus ROG Strix GL703VM è un portatile che fa qualche compromesso. Ci sono ottimi aspetti da riportare: le prestazioni gaming del dispositivo sono eccellenti per la sua classe, il display da 120 Hz è fluido, ci sono molte porte, e lo chassis è solido (considerando il profilo sottile) e carino.

Tuttavia, ci sono sempre dei punti negativi. Sebbene le prestazioni gaming siano eccellenti, la CPU viene limitata e non raggiunge il suo potenziale massimo. Il display da 120 Hz p fluido, ma il pannello soffre di un terribile effetto bleeding e il contrasto è scarso. Lo chassis è compatto e bello ma si scalda durante il gaming.

Vale la pena comprare un GL703VM? Dipende da cosa vi interessa come game. Se volete prestazioni gaming stellari e un pannello abbastanza veloce per gestire una elevata qualità dell'immagine, allora il GL703VM potrebbe essere una opzione da considerare: tuttavia, l'MSI GS73VR offre un aspetto simile, sottile ed attraente, prestazioni gaming simili, ed una eccellente tastiera che si accompagna ad un display opzionale 4K ed una gestione termina nettamente migliore quando usate i giochi.

In definitiva passiamo alla valutazione: Poiché il prezzo non è roba da poco (circa $1600 USD), il GL703VM sembra essere troppo costoso considerando i punti deboli. Ci sono portatili che si fanno notare proprio dove il GL703VM è carente ed hanno simili aspetti positivi, il tutto ad un prezzo molto più basso. Se volete comprare in saldo il GL703VM, allora ne vale la pena. Altrimenti, andate oltre.
