Intel N470

L'Intel Atom N470 è una CPU di fascia bassa per netbooks e portatili piccoli ed economici. In pacchetto c'è anche un controller di memoria integrato per DDR2 e la scheda grafica GMA 3150. Rispetto all'N450, l'N470 ha un clock superiore ed ha un TDP da 6.5 Watt invece dei 5.5 Watt dell'N450.

Le prestazioni dell'intero sistema (Atom N470 e GMA 3150 integrata) è appena sufficiente per le operazioni basilari come la navigazione web, o il lavoro da ufficio. I video HD, l'editing video, l'editing di immagini e naturalmente i giochi potrebbero mettere in difficoltà la GPU e la CPU. Rispetto alla precedente generazione Atom, la differenza in termini di prestazioni appare solo marginalmente superiore rispetto all'Atom Z / GMA 950 con clock simile. Rispetto all'N450, le prestazioni di questa CPU sono superiori di circa il 5-10% in media.

Un vantaggio dell'interazione, è il consumo energetico complessivo molto ridotto della CPU, GPU e del controller di memoria (appena 6.5 Watt TDP). Pertanto, il chip è fondamentalmente utilizzato nei piccoli Netbooks, MIDs, e nei portatili sottili.
