Il Tornado F5 dovrebbe essere lodato per l'aggiunta di un socket accessibile LGA 1151 e uno slot MXM 3.0 su uno chassis da 15 pollici che è più piccolo e ancora più leggero rispetto a molte alternative comuni e meno potenti. Da questo punto di vista, il sistema non diverso dal Pro Razer Blade – un hardware di rilievo è inserito in uno chassis più compatto possibile. Un altro risultato notevole è il fatto che non rileviamo problemi di throttling o limitazioni che influenzano direttamente le perfomance.

Ci sono i soliti inconvenienti che riguardano ventole rumorose e la scarsa durata della batteria. Sebbene entrambe non siano sorprendenti, riteniamo che il rumore della ventola potrebbe essere migliorato durante i carichi di lavoro limitati, in modo che il notebook possa dare meno fastidio in ambienti silenziosi. La cover si flette più facilmente di quanto vorremmo e il controllo sulla qualità della retroilluminazione dovrebbe essere migliore.

Per quanto riguarda il display 4K UHD, ci sono precisi pro e contro che non permettono una raccomandazione assoluta. La gamma di colore è più limitata e il contrasto è inferiore anche all'opzione di base 1080p. Inoltre, gli utenti possono anche prendere in considerazione la terza opzione 1080p 120 Hz / 5 ms in quanto i tempi di risposta rapidi ed il refresh rate doppio fanno la vera differenza per un portatile gaming, più che un pannello 4K UHD 60 Hz.

Forse il più grande motivo per cui un appassionato potrebbe preferire l'Eurocom all' Asus, MSI, o Alienware sono i suoi componenti modulari e il supporto per i processori desktop. La possibilità di aggiornare e risolvere facilmente i problemi sia la CPU che la GPU è indubbiamente una prospettiva allettante, ma il suo impatto sulle perfomance di gioco è marginale nella migliore delle ipotesi, in quanto la maggioranza dei giochi moderni sono legati alla GPU. Quando un i7-7700HQ mobile può eseguire gli stessi titoli altrettanto bene quanto un i5-7600K o i7-7700K a quasi la metà del TDP, diventa più difficile vedere i benefici pratici di avere una CPU desktop in un laptop da un punto di vista puramente da giocatore.

Il Tornado F5 è il più versatile notebook gaming da 15 pollici disponibile se il socket LGA 1151 e lo slot MXM 3.0 sono di massima importanza. In caso contrario, un notebook gaming più tradizionale con una equivalente GPU saldata può catturare utenti con gli stessi risultati di gioco a prezzi probabilmente inferiori.
