L'Alienware 17 R3 è un passo nella giusta direzione rispetto alla precedente generazione.

Difficilmente troverete uno chassis così stiloso e illuminato nel segmento notebook. Grazie a USB 3.1, NVMe-SSD, processore Skylake, DDR4-RAM e GeForce GTX 980M, anche gli altri componenti risultano high-end. Il pacchetto è completato da eccellenti dispositivi di input, casse decenti e display IPS luminoso, che tuttavia soffre di qualche problema di retroilluminazione.
