Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Il Tornado F5 prosege la tradizione Eurocom nell'offerta di prestazioni elevate, maggiore personalizzazione, rispetto ai concorrenti. E' innegabile che uno dei principali vantaggi di Eurocom sia la possibilità di usare processori desktop e consentire la sostituzione delle GPUs senza problemi di garanzia.

Se tali vantaggi non bastano, allora ci sono pochi motivi per preferire il Tornado F5 rispetto a qualcosa più mainstream come MSI GE62, Asus GL502, o il nuovo HP Omen 17. Questi sistemi sono meno costosi e meno ingombranti pur usando la stessa GPU GTX 1070. Le prestazioni complessive di sistema potrebbero risultare inferiori, ma le prestazioni gaming saranno quasi identiche in quanto le prestazioni CPU di un processore i7-5700HQ o i7-6700HQ sulla maggioranza dei portatili gaming è già più che sufficiente per la maggioranza dei titoli.

Il sistema non sembra soffrire di throttling con carichi gaming pensanti. I carichi più estremi con Prime95, tuttavia, spingono le temperature a quasi 100 C anche dopo il throttling dei core clock rates. Pertanto, gli utenti che speravano in una possibilità di maggiore overclocking headroom per il i7-7700K potrebbero restare delusi. Le temperature di lavoro della GTX 1070 sono più accettabili in quanto il sistema può essere configurato con la più pesante GTX 1080. In entrambi i casi, Eurocom segue una sottile linea in termini di limiti termici e possibilità di configuraione al fine di offrire uno dei portatili più veloci con questa dimensione di schermo.

    Lo chassis potrebbe essere più robusto e le temperature inferiori. Per il resto il Tornado F5 supera la concorrenza per potenza e personalizzazione, se il suo prezzo non vi fa paura.
