Sfarfallio dello schermo / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Per ridurre la luminosità dello schermo, alcuni portatili accendono e spengono la retroilluminazione in rapida successione - un metodo chiamato Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Questa frequenza di ciclo a livello ideale non dovrebbe essere percepibile dall'occhi umano. Se tale frequenza è troppo bassa, gli utenti con occhi sensibili potrebbero stancarsi gli occhi o avere mal di testa o anche notare uno sfarfallio.

Il display sfarfalla a 2427 Hz (Probabilmente a causa dell'uso di PWM) Flickering rilevato ad una luminosita' di 15 % o inferiore. Non dovrebbe verificarsi flickering o PWM sopra questo valore di luminosita'.

Nel complesso, il Nokia 3.1 Plus si è rivelato essere una versione migliorata del Nokia 3.1. L'esperienza complessiva è stata fluida, e il dispositivo ha offerto prestazioni sufficienti per le applicazioni quotidiane. Siamo rimasti particolarmente colpiti dallo slot microSD dedicato che non deve condividere il suo spazio con lo slot secondario Nano SIM e quindi non ha alcun impatto sulle capacità della dual SIM del dispositivo. Le fotocamere, d'altra parte, erano a dir poco insignificanti. Anche le prestazioni del Wi-Fi sono state relativamente scarse, ma in cambio il dispositivo supporta NFC per le tecnologie di pagamento contactless come Google Play.

    Il Nokia 3.1 Plus è uno smartphone solido con troppo poco spazio di archiviazione interna.

I suoi maggiori svantaggi rispetto alla concorrenza sono l'esigua memoria interna e le scarse fotocamere. Mentre queste ultime rimangono utilizzabili per istantanee occasionali, la memoria interna quasi minuscola è stata una sfida più e più volte. Solo 7 GB di spazio accessibile all'utente non sono sufficienti per applicazioni, foto, musica e altri dati. L'espansione dello storage MicroSD è lodevole, ma finché non può essere utilizzato come storage interno per esternalizzare applicazioni e giochi di grandi dimensioni, la sua fruibilità rimane discutibile nel migliore dei casi.
