Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Si questa è la vita con figlie carine: a volte la mamma è gelosa. Almeno, Huawei non rende facile al P10 confrontarsi con il più sottile Honor 9. Per oltre 100 Euro in meno (~$118, in base alle variazioni di prezzo), avrete molto con l'Honor 9. Anche il OnePlus 5 deve stare a guardare.

Rispetto all'Honor 8, il case carino è migliorato ancora, le prestazioni sono allo stesso livello dell'Huawei P10, e le fotocamere scattano immagini buone. Solo la velocità dello spazio di archiviazione, l'autonomia, e la varietà e velocità delle connessioni LTE, dell'Honor 9 restano dietro l'ammiraglia Huawei. In aggiunta, Huawei offre 36 mesi di garanzia per il P10.

Case ottimo, fotocamera buona, autonomia decente – difficilmente possiamo criticare l'Honor 9. Se il SoC non subisse throttling sotto carico, la nostra raccomandazione sarebbe ancora più netta, ma comunque, l'Honor 9 offre un ottimo rapporto prezzo-prestazioni.

Peccato che Huawei non abbia prestato maggiore attenzione alla qualità di chiamata, in quanto è mediocre. Le elevate temperature del case ed il throttling del SoC con carichi elevati sono fastidiosi. Tuttavia, d'altro canto, dovete pagare un tributo all'Honor 9. È un'ottima offerta di fascia media che non dovrebbe passare inosservata. E' disponibile online a partire da 390,00 €.

Per coloro che vogliono risparmiare, l'Honor 8, offre gli stessi moduli fotocamera e non è molto indietro come prestazioni, è un buono affare per circa 100 Euro in meno (~$118).
