Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Non abbiamo trovato molte pecche nel BQ Aquaris X - anzi l'opposto: questo smartphone spagnolo di fascia media offre profili interessanti considerando il prezzo. Anche la versione PRO - che costa 100€ (~$117) in più -  non riesce a competere con questo modello per quanto riguarda luminosità del display, precisione del colore e temperatura del colore. I bassi valori di trasferimento nel test Wi-Fi possono essere risolti con un aggiornamento software.

L'Aquaris X di fascia media sicuramente non è una cattiva scelta per chi ama Android Vanilla.

Abbiamo davvero apprezzato il display IPS molto luminoso del BQ Aquaris X, ed il veloce modulo Wi-Fi, il preciso GPS, la buona qualità della fotocamera con molti settaggi e la possibilità di usare due schede SIM contemporaneamente. In aggiunta, il produttore si è guardato bene da non caricare troppi software e non ha aggiunto alcun bloatware.

La qualità della cover posteriore in plastica potrebbe essere migliore ed un dispositivo con un prezzo raccomandato di 300€ (~$352) dovrebbe avere la retroilluminazione per i tasti sotto il display.
