I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Siamo impressionati positivamente dal Chuwi LapBook 12.3. I modelli di test in questa fascia di prezzo in genere hanno cases in metallo e schermi mediocri. Lo chassis in allumino del LapBook 12.3 invece appare premium, e potrebbe farvi pensare ad un prezzo a quattro cifre soprattutto se guardate lo schermo high-res.

Le altre sezioni, in particolare le prestazioni, sono più in linea con il suo prezzo. Tuttavia, le applicazioni quotidiane non sono un problema per il piccolo processore quad-core, lo stesso vale per la riproduzione di video high-res. Il LapBook 12.3 non ha complessivamente grosse pecche. Ma riteniamo che due aspetti possano essere migliorati: il pannello è molto buono ma dovrebbe avere una luminosità maggiore, e il Surface Pro 4 mostra che c'è possibilità di migliorare. Tuttavia, il consumo probabilmente salirebbe di conseguenza. Una tastiera illuminata sarebbe un'altra cosa gradita.

Ottimo chassis in alluminio, display eccellente, silenzioso, e prestazioni sufficienti per le applicazioni comuni: il Chuwi LapBook 12.3 offre un impressionante rapporto prezzo-performance e merita la nostra raccomandazione. 

Se considerate il prezzo di circa 300 Euro (~$353), tuttavia, non con sono grosse pecche. Il LapBook 12.3 si fa notare in questa fascia di prezzo ed anche rispetto a sistemi più costosi come l'Acer Switch 3 o lo Swift 1 che non offrono molto di più, quindi il Chuwi LapBook 12.3 merita il nostro Best Value Award.
