Oppo Find X9 Ultra non è uno smartphone economico, e il prezzo lo colloca nella fascia più alta; se si aggiungono accessori dedicati alla fotografia, si entra in una categoria ancora più esclusiva. La domanda rimane una: Oppo Find X9 Ultra è davvero il top che una persona cerca? La risposta, per quanto mi riguarda, è sì! Offre prestazioni estreme, autonomia importante, un display di altissimo livello e un comparto fotografico estremamente completo. Non è solo potenza fine a sé stessa, è un dispositivo equilibrato, pensato per chi vuole tutto in un unico prodotto. Resta il discorso del prezzo, che non è per tutti, 1699 euro su Amazon Italia. In poche parole OPPO Find X9 Ultra è tecnicamente lo smartphone più sorprendente di sempre. Non c’è nessun altro prodotto che offra complessivamente, sul piano delle specifiche tecniche, di più. Costruttivamente è un gioiellino, il design Hasselblad gli conferisce una personalità unica, le fotocamere sono da riferimento assoluto con il miglior 3x mai realizzato su smartphone, la batteria da 7050 mAh al silicio-carbonio regge qualsiasi giornata, e il software è maturo e funzionale. Qualche “difetto” c’è, ovviamente. È pesante e ingombrante, il tasto camera può risultare fastidioso nell’uso quotidiano, scalda leggermente durante le sessioni intensive, il 10x poteva spingere di più e qualche finezza software potrebbe essere limata. Ma stiamo parlando di sfumature su un prodotto che alza il livello per tutti. OPPO Find X9 Ultra è disponibile dal 21 aprile 2026 al prezzo consigliato di 1699,99 euro nella configurazione 12+512 GB, nelle colorazioni Tundra Umber e Canyon Orange, acquistabile su OPPO Store e presso i principali rivenditori elettronici.

Le mirrorless, invece, sono inarrivabili come qualità, sia per il sensore nettamente più grande, sia per le lenti che hanno a supporto, ma qui viene completamente meno il discorso della tascabilità. Se parliamo di fotocamere grandangolari, però, molti farebbero estrema fatica a capire quali foto sono scattate da un OPPO Find X9 Ultra e quali da una fotocamera professionale. Uno scooter e un’automobile ti portano da un punto A a un punto B, ma in modo differente. Lo stesso fanno uno smartphone ed una fotocamera: entrambi scattano foto ma puntano a target differenti. C’è chi preferirà l’uno e chi l’altro. Qui ti ritrovi seduto sopra uno dei migliori scooter, se non il migliore che ci sia: comodo, con un’autonomia infinita, bello esteticamente (non nella colorazione Orange, per alcuni) e senza nulla da invidiare agli altri smartphone. Certo, chi non è attratto dalla fotografia può guardare tranquillamente oltre: un OPPO Find X9 Pro accontenta il 90% delle persone, ma probabilmente anche “solo” un Find X9 base è più che sufficiente per la maggior parte di noi.

Dopo diversi giorni di prova, Oppo Find X9 Ultra si lascia leggere subito per quello che è: un camera flagship costruito con una visione precisa e con ambizioni molto alte. La parte più riuscita del progetto, secondo me, sta proprio qui. Oppo non ha realizzato un top di gamma premium qualsiasi con una camera forte da mettere in vetrina. Ha costruito uno smartphone che mette davvero la fotografia al centro e che prova a farlo in modo serio, ricco e anche molto piacevole nell’uso di tutti i giorni. La principale è di altissimo livello, il 3x è una lente che si usa con grande soddisfazione, mentre il 10x ottico è quel dettaglio che cambia davvero il rapporto con il telefono e porta a cercare scatti che con tanti altri modelli nemmeno proveresti a fare.Ed è questo l’aspetto che resta di più. Oppo Find X9 Ultra non si limita a fare bene le foto; invoglia proprio a usarlo come strumento fotografico, a sperimentare, a stringere l’inquadratura, a cambiare prospettiva e a sfruttare davvero un sistema che ha pochissimi punti deboli. In un contesto come il Golfo del Tigullio, tra riflessi sul mare, scorci, dettagli lontani, facciate luminose e luce spesso complessa, questa qualità è emersa in modo molto chiaro. Il telefono dà la sensazione di avere sempre una focale giusta e, soprattutto, di saperla usare bene. Attorno alla fotocamera, poi, c’è un prodotto completissimo. Il display è ottimo, l’hardware è sempre rapido, il software è maturo e l’autonomia è uno dei punti forti più piacevoli dell’intero pacchetto.

Oltre allo smartphone Oppo Find X9S Pro, che non uscirà dalla Cina, sul fronte audio arrivano due paia di auricolari profondamente diversi. Gli Oppo Enco Air5 Pro puntano all'isolamento: offrono una cancellazione attiva del rumore (Anc) capace di abbattere le frequenze fino a 55 decibel e promettono 54 ore di autonomia complessiva. Costano 89,99 euro. Totalmente opposta la filosofia degli Enco Clip2: sono auricolari open-ear, si agganciano al padiglione auricolare lasciando il canale uditivo libero di percepire l'ambiente circostante. L'acustica qui è curata dai danesi di Dynaudio, e il prezzo sale a 179,99 euro. Infine ecco lo smartwatch. L'Oppo Watch X3 abbandona i compromessi sui materiali e si presenta con una cassa in lega di titanio. A bordo c'è Wear OS di Google (dunque con accesso al Play Store, all'assistente Gemini e a Google Maps), ma la vera intelligenza sta nell'architettura a doppio chip: un processore ad alte prestazioni si alterna a uno a basso consumo per estendere l'autonomia del dispositivo fino a 16 giorni. E poi ci sono smartphone come questo OPPO Find X9 Ultra, che invece hanno una missione molto precisa: spingere al massimo il concetto di camera phone. E infatti basta guardarlo anche solo per pochi secondi per capire quale sia il messaggio. Qui non siamo davanti al solito flagship premium con una buona fotocamera: qui OPPO vuole portare nelle mani dell’utente un prodotto che, almeno sulla carta, possa sostituire in tante situazioni una vera fotocamera compatta evoluta.

Senza ombra di dubbio ci troviamo di fronte a uno dei dispositivi più completi e ambiziosi attualmente disponibili nel panorama smartphone. L’esperienza complessiva è costruita attorno a un’idea precisa, che ruota principalmente intorno alla fotografia e alla creazione di contenuti. Non si tratta però di un prodotto sbilanciato su un singolo aspetto. Al contrario, ogni componente contribuisce a costruire un sistema coerente, capace di offrire prestazioni elevate in ogni ambito. Naturalmente, non mancano alcuni piccoli compromessi. Dimensioni e peso possono non essere adatti a tutti, soprattutto per chi cerca uno smartphone più compatto. Anche il prezzo rappresenta un elemento da valutare con attenzione, considerando la cifra richiesta al lancio. Ma pensiamo che questo prezzo sia perfettamente in linea con quello che offre questo smartphone. Può sembrare alto se preso come valore assoluto, ma se pensiamo a quello che può fare questo dispositivo, soprattutto se sei un professionista, ogni centesimo è giustificato.

In this video, I test the Find X9 Ultra’s full camera range in a real gig environment, from the 14mm ultra-wide and 23mm primary camera through to the 70mm telephoto, 230mm 10x telephoto and the 300mm teleconverter. I compare it directly to an iPhone 17 Pro Max, use it with the camera kit and cover some drawbacks and highlights. This is a real-world concert camera test, focusing on zoom, detail, low light, distance, stage lighting and whether the teleconverter meaningfully improves the quality of the footage when you’re further back from the stage.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra serves up better camera hardware on paper, and I already gushed all over it in my review. However, the Vivo X300 Ultra uses the same main sensor and is certainly one of the best phones in 2026 for snapping photos and video.

For me, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is hands down the best camera phone I’ve used yet. Does a phone need four cameras? It depends on who you ask, but now that I have spent a few weeks with the phone, my resounding answer is yes. The 3x camera is phenomenal, the 10x camera zoom range is incredibly useful, and the quality far exceeds any digital zoom. Hasselblad Master mode is also a standout; it finally gives me exactly the kind of less-processed, more camera-like images with custom film recipes I've been wanting from a flagship phone. Add in superb video, excellent battery life, a gorgeous screen, and a design in Tundra Umber that I absolutely love, and Oppo has made my perfect camera phone. It is not completely flawless. Standard mode can still look too processed for my taste, the teleconverter integration is more limited than it should be, and there are still some minor settings tweaks I'd love to see. But if your priority is having the most capable, most versatile, most photography-focused phone possible, the Find X9 Ultra is exceptionally hard to argue against.

Furthermore, while the 17 Ultra also has a photography kit, it’s a more basic setup that only adds buttons and a battery.

It’s an excellent handset everywhere else, with flagship performance, an impressively long-lasting battery, slick software and a gorgeous display – but the Find X9 Ultra’s biggest strength is how it sets the pace for photography-first phones. Oppo has delivered year-on-year improvements for every sensor and the firm is now comfortably the class leader for long-range zoom. Colours are authentic and detail is nuanced in ways few rivals can match. That said, Vivo and Xiaomi have also brought their A game this generation. Mobile movie makers might feel better served by the X300 Ultra (if it’s available in their territory), while Xiaomi’s Leitzphone commits harder to the camera brand tie-in through Leica-badged theme and widgets – though you pay even more for it. All three take superb stills; the winner in any given shooting scenario often falls to personal preference on colour treatment. They also highlight how much ground Google, Samsung and Apple have lost by prioritising algorithmic image processing over cutting-edge sensor hardware. I’d still spring for the Oppo, though. Only serious snappers will be able to justify the high cost of entry, but that 10x zoom is just so versatile.

In isolation, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is an excellent piece of tech, albeit pricier than other Ultras. It's not just a great cameraphone, it's a great all-rounder, too. It has an extra-long battery life, fast charging, a great display, although the full 144Hz is rarely utilized, and offers a nice, customizable software experience, which will get about five major upgrades in the future. However, if video quality is on top of your priority list, that may not be the Find X9 Ultra's forte. Videos are soft-ish across the board, or at least they are not on an "ultra" level. It's too early to say whether it's the best camera-centric phone in the first half of the year, but it's definitely up there with the best, and honestly, that should be enough. Still, we suggest waiting for all Ultras to hit the market before digging deep into your pockets. But among the big three cameraphones, the gaps are so small that it will probably boil down to preferences regarding design, software, your favorite focal lengths and features more than anything else.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra global launch is confirmed for April 21, and it appears this super-flagship phone could finally be released in the UK! The latest leaks and rumours point to some ridiculously good camera tech, so here's a final look at the latest news ahead of our OPPO Find X9 Ultra review. The biggest difference between this almighty mobile and the Pro model appears to be the camera hardware. Not too surprising given the size of that bump. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will apparently sport a PAIR of 200MP sensors, one for the regular wide shooter and one for the telephoto snapper. That main sensor is the same Sony Lytia effort slapped in the Vivo X300 Ultra, which I reviewed just yesterday - so check that out for an idea of what to expect vs the OPPO Find X9 Ultra! In other areas, this phone appears to be similar to the Pro model. That display should be another stunner, while the battery capacity is slightly reduced for the OPPO Find X9 Ultra.
