Arrivati alla fine della recensione, il giudizio su Oppo Find N6 ci sembra piuttosto netto. Oppo ha preso tutto quello che oggi si può chiedere a un foldable premium e lo ha messo insieme con un equilibrio che, sinceramente, ci ha convinto più di quanto accada di solito in questa categoria. C’è una costruzione eccellente, ci sono due display davvero riusciti, c’è una piega ridotta al minimo, c’è un comparto hardware di altissimo livello, c’è un software pensato bene per il formato e c’è anche una fotocamera che, finalmente, non fa più sembrare il pieghevole il classico dispositivo da scegliere accettando un compromesso importante.

Anche i cinque microfoni lavorano molto bene quando vengono messi alla prova. La ricezione ci è sembrata ottima, nonostante non si tratti di un dispositivo ottimizzato ufficialmente per il nostro mercato.La vibrazione aptica è gradevole e ben calibrata: non risulta molle né quando lo smartphone è chiuso né quando è aperto.OPPO Find N6 integra inoltre una serie di ottimizzazioni software dedicate alla connettività, collegate a un nuovo chip proprietario chiamato NetworkBoost Chip S1, che lavora insieme alle antenne denominate “Fold Matrix”.

Oppo Find N6 è uno di quei dispositivi che segnano un punto di svolta. Non perfetto, certo, ma finalmente convincente. Elimina (quasi) la piega, migliora ergonomia e autonomia, e introduce un ecosistema software che sfrutta davvero il formato pieghevole. È il primo foldable che si avvicina davvero all’idea di “prodotto definitivamente maturo”. Resta il problema del prezzo e del fatto che non sarà commercializzato, almeno a breve, in Europa. Il costo indicativo si aggirerà infatti intorno ai 2000 euro, ma il mercato ha urgente bisogno di prodotti belli e convincenti come questo, chiaramente più accessibili. Il potenziale, però, è evidente.

OPPO l'ha fatto di nuovo: ha fatto il miglior smartphone pieghevole sulla piazza e forse il miglior smartphone in assoluto... e non lo vende da noi. Sicuramente l'azienda avrà avuto le sue ragioni, probabilmente poco mercato, ma rimane il fatto che questo sarebbe stato un vero gioiello nel mercato attuale e "l'assenza" della piega sarebbe stato un biglietto da visita veramente notevole. Brava poi OPPO per aver fatto degli aggiornamenti sostanziali, nonostante il precedente modello fosse già ottimo.

Non è uno smartphone per gli “early adopter”, per chi vuole solo le ultime tecnologie ed è disposto a qualche rinuncia per provarle. È uno smartphone completo. Questo non significa che sia perfetto, nessuno smartphone lo è. Ma il problema principale non è una scelta ingegneristica, è il fatto che non arriverà in Italia. Detto questo, dobbiamo ammettere che il pieghevole senza piega ci ha convinto: i foldable non sono più solo innovativi, sono concreti.

Oppo Find N6 conferma quanto di buono visto su N5 e lo rende ancora migliore. Il passo in avanti più grande è ovviamente nella cerniera e nella piega, che nella maggior parte dei casi non è visibile. Non posso dire che sia invisibile sempre perché non è così, ma la casa cinese è ormai molto vicina a questo traguardo. Lo schermo pieghevole rimane uno dei migliori che abbiamo mai visto, ma non è l’unico elemento che convince. Dalle prestazioni alla fotocamera, siamo di fronte a un top di gamma in tutto e per tutto. L’unico vero difetto è che non arriverà in Italia (ma sarà disponibile in altri mercati europei), inoltre non ci sono ancora informazioni sui prezzi, ma visto che il modello precedente costava 1469 euro, è lecito aspettarsi una cifra simile a questa per portarselo a casa.

The Oppo Find N6 is a firm, no-question must-buy. The design is durable, ergonomic, and attractive. The Zero-Feel Crease is a genuine improvement and a clever piece of engineering. The software gets multitasking right, the overall performance is excellent, it charges really fast, and the camera takes great photos. I used the Find N6 for 10 days in February, and then for another eight days in March, and each time I’ve only changed because I had to put my SIM in another phone. I’m going to swap again once this review is done, but if I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t. The Find N6 has won me over due to the work done to solve common foldable phone pain points. It means I can more easily concentrate on the things that make a big foldable so desirable, like video, games, and photo editing. Unfortunately, Oppo’s making it rather hard to buy the Find N6 anywhere outside Asia or Australia. Great if you live there, not so good if you don’t.

I think I’ve made it pretty clear throughout this review that foldables remain relevant for a very specific type of smartphone user, and, often, that user knows exactly who they are. In fact, there isn't anything about the foldable I don't like, and that in itself is an achievement; the only point of contention is that the Find N6 isn't launching outside Asia. If you're looking to switch to a foldable in 2026, there really isn't anything better.

The Oppo Find N6 is my new favourite foldable. Last year’s model felt like Oppo’s first foldable flagship that was slim and light enough to actually replace my bar phone, and the N6 doubles down on that, as well as improves on a few of last year's weaknesses with enhanced cameras and a nearly invisible (in most lights) crease. Phone performance is excellent, powering through creative tasks, with a battery that lasts all day, and often a little more. I also continue to think Oppo makes some of the nicest smartphone software around. The cameras are also impressive enough that I never felt regret that I was just carrying a foldable. Oppo’s continued Hasselblad partnership and Lumo image engine produce really nice colors with balanced HDR and a good amount of detail, especially from the new 200MP sensor. Still, the Find N6 does not quite rewrite the rules.

The seven-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 doesn’t quite match the best bar-style flagships in raw benchmarks, the secondary cameras and low-light performance still trail traditional camera phones, and, most importantly, it’s not getting a wider release beyond China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, making it a non-starter for most. If you’re willing to import, the Find N6 is one of the most complete foldable options around – it’s just a shame that, for most people, it’ll remain more aspirational than attainable. After spending time with the Find N6, I came away feeling that Oppo has done more than just refine the formula. This is one of the few foldables that feels designed around everyday use rather than the novelty of unfolding into a larger screen. The ergonomics are better than expected, the crease is remarkably well controlled, battery life is strong, and the software makes the larger display feel genuinely useful. It is still an expensive device, and the camera system does not quite reach the level of the best camera-focused flagships. Even so, the more I used the Find N6, the more complete it felt. There is a level of polish here that remains rare in this category, and it makes a very strong case for itself as one of the best all-around foldables available right now.
