Piccolo. Fancy. Economico. Lo Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) è l'ultimo modello della serie Y. Abbiamo apprezzato il case in metallo del dispositivo, l'hardware decente, e le dimensioni compatte. Sfortunatamente, abbiamo riscontrato che c'è davvero ancora molto spazio per i miglioramenti.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Lo Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) è uno smartphone di fascia medio bassa, carino e compatto che non costa molto. Per circa $200 avrete un dispositivo con buone dotazioni tra cui 16 GB di spazio, 2 GB di RAM, e un buon case in metallo. In aggiunta, l'autonomia è decente grazie alla ampia batteria da 3,020 mAh.

Sfortunatamente, Huawei ha portato in questo modello alcuni errori che avevamo già visto in precedenza sui modelli "non Pro". Ad esempio prestazioni Wi-Fi ancora sotto la media e bande LTE supportate limitate. Il display resta scuro compre in precedenza, sebbene il contrasto e il livello del nero siano addirittura inferiori all'Y6 (2017)! E' un mistero come sia stato usato questo nuovo display in un dispositivo “Pro”.

Il principale problema comunque sono le prestazioni del dispositivo scarse e con comportamenti strani. L'interfaccia utente Huawei EMUI 5.1 non è fluida con il Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, quindi si notano scatti e ritardi.

Nonostante i deficits riguardo display e performance, lo Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) è nel complesso un pacchetto buono che costa circa $200. Se valga questo prezzo o meno dipende anche dai gusti individuali.
