The LG gram-15Z960-A.AA52U1 ($1,099.99 as tested) is a midrange ultraportable notable for its record-setting light weight. Despite the 15-inch display, it weighs just over two pounds, lighter than many smaller laptops, without compromising the large screen or performance. There's a wide variety of connectivity options and battery life is good, but aspects of the design do suffer given the tight build. The overall construction is a bit flimsy, an issue we experienced with the smaller version of this laptop, the LG gram 14$927.49 at Amazon. The 15-inch version has more positives than the gram 14, and a better price, but the lackluster chassis and keyboard quality still hold the system back.

It's rare that we review a laptop that's unlike everything else on the market. The Samsung Notebook 9 comes pretty close, and the 12" MacBook might if it weren't so small. That makes it hard to offer many points of direct comparison, or to say where the LG Gram 15 fits in the grand scheme of things. I will say that this is a harbinger of laptops of the future--they will continue to get lighter as material science evolves.

That said, manufacturers don’t often cater to those of us who consider each ounce that goes into our bags. Nothing like the Gram 15 has existed before, and I think it’s very uncertain whether an improved version of it will in the future. Machines like this are incredibly rare. This is as good as an extremely ultraportable gets for now—though if Samsung’s 15-inch Notebook 9 is an indication, perhaps there’s a slim chance of even better times ahead.

LG Gram 14 è il miglior portatile (in senso letterale) che potreste desiderare. Leggero ma solido, grande autonomia, ed anche grande connettività. La vera rinuncia da fare per avere un compagno di viaggio del genere è in termini di performance: bastano per quello che è il suo target, ma niente di più. All'orizzonte c'è però un refresh 2020 che sembra pronto a colmare in buona parte anche questa lacuna, ma per adesso chi cerchi portabilità e autonomia ha già un nuovo nome da appuntarsi: LG Gram 14.

The only major knock against the Gram 14 is its poor speakers, something easily rectified with a good pair of headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. And if I'm nitpicking, the Gram 14 is a bit pricey and there is no place to store the included stylus. If those issues matter to you, the Lenovo ThinkPad C940 is the perfect alternative to the Gram. If not, then the Gram 14 2-in-1 is an excellent option.

With the lockdown climate caused by the coronavirus, it's a weird time to be writing about an ultraportable laptop that excels at getting things done on an airplane, in college classrooms or at a coffee shop. Frankly, I've personally spent the past week looking at cheap Chromebooks, monitors to connect them to and inexpensive gaming laptops. Then again, the LG Gram 14 2-in-1 is better suited out of the box than others like it and, eventually, all of its benefits will be fully appreciated by those who don't work all day, every day at a desk.

Frankly, I've personally spent the past week looking at cheap Chromebooks, monitors to connect them to and inexpensive gaming laptops. Then again, the LG Gram 14 2-in-1 is better suited out of the box than others like it and, eventually, all of its benefits will be fully appreciated by those who don't work all day, every day at a desk.

Complessivamente è un prodotto che ci è piaciuto molto per il suo equilibrio e soprattutto perché si è dimostrato ben pensato. LG non ha lasciato nulla al caso, dalla qualità costruttiva alla scelta dell'hardware alla sua calibrazione. Se viene utilizzato per la produttività è un notebook impeccabile e con tutti gli attributi che servono. Non è un laptop tuttofare, azzardiamo anche che non si tratta di un prodotto che va genericamente bene per tutti. A suggerirlo è sicuramente il suo comportamento sul campo ma è anche il prezzo, coraggiosamente premium, di 1.799 euro per la configurazione che abbiamo provato. Ve lo consigliamo? Se state cercando un notebook confortevole per lavorare anche per lungo tempo, che sia efficace anche alla scrivania una volta giunti in ufficio, che abbia un'ottimo schermo, prestazioni adeguate e super autonomia e che sia leggero e portatile seppur di grandi dimensioni... allora è un grande sì, del resto se queste sono le vostre necessità non avete molte altre scelte.

LG decision to focus on lightness and portability when it decided to reenter the market is paying off now. It’s quickly becoming the first name people think of when they are looking for the lightest possible notebook. However, for the past few years, that has come at the compromise of performance. The latest Z90P 2021 version of the gram 14 ducks this tradition. This new model is easily the company’s most polished ultraportable notebook yet, blending decent performance with incredible battery life and terrific usability. There are lighter and thinner notebooks but they don’t have the ports that gram 14 has and consequently requires their owners to carry dongles. The gram 14, though, has both USB-C Thunderbolt 4 and USB-A ports, and it’s the only notebook in its class to do so. At S$2,199, it's also quite reasonably priced. As it is, my only real gripe with this notebook is that it doesn’t have a higher resolution display nor is the display touch-capable. All in all, this is a very solid option especially if you are looking for a notebook that doesn't require dongles to work

Decisamente più abbordabili sono le configurazioni con Core i5 che in questo momento partono da 1299€ per uno sconto promozionale. Resta comunque un laptop premium e non solo per la fascia di prezzo: ha un display grande e con un formato moderno, una piattaforma hardware solida e tante funzionalità utili come il lettore d'impronta nel tasto d'accensione, il tutto in un peso di poco superiore al chilogrammo. Consigliato!

LG Gram 14 (2021) è un portatile costruito per chi ha bisogno di mobilità a 360°. Non è infatti solo questione di leggerezza, ma anche di autonomia, di prestazioni adatte ai lavori più comuni (ma non molto al gaming), e di dimensioni contenute. Non è facile trovargli un rivale di pari livello in ambito Windows. If your laptop wish list includes a big screen, a thin-and-light chassis, and long battery life, I might have told you to keep dreaming in years past, but the Gram 16 checks all of those boxes in bold. While it comes up just shy of qualifying for our laptops with the best battery life, the fact that it does so at just 2.5 pounds with a 16-inch display and a powerful core i7 CPU is nothing short of astounding. The Gram 16 should earn a spot among our best ultrabooks and best 16-inch laptops, but a few things keep me from elevating it even further. The display brightness is merely good enough, not great. The audio quality from the bottom-firing speakers is similarly fine, but not notable. Finally, while I appreciate the full keyboard with a number pad, the slightly cramped keys can be irritating and would take a little time to adjust to.

Compared to the clamshell laptop version of the Gram 16 the new 2-in-1 loses a Type-A USB and HDMI port, gains 280g in weight and gives a small amount away in terms of screen brightness and battery life. To offset that you get a touchscreen, a very capable bundled stylus and the option to use it in tablet, tent or stand mode That's not too much of a compromise in our opinion so we'd gladly take the extra versatility of the 2-in-1 model and pay the small premium for the privilege.

Esternamente invariato, almeno il nuovo LG Gram 2-in-1 offre un hardware aggiornato per quanto riguarda gli interni. Nel nostro dispositivo di recensione, l'Intel Core i7 dimostra di essere in grado di offrire prestazioni elevate, anche in un fattore di forma leggero. Tuttavia, nel 2023, LG non è ancora riuscita ad eliminare gli altri punti deboli del dispositivo.
Esternamente invariato, almeno il nuovo LG Gram 2-in-1 offre un hardware aggiornato per quanto riguarda gli interni. Nel nostro dispositivo di recensione, l'Intel Core i7 dimostra di essere in grado di offrire prestazioni elevate, anche in un fattore di forma leggero.
