Recensione breve del Portatile Fujitsu LifeBook E557 (i3-7100U, HD620)

Vecchia scuola. Non capita di frequente di vedere portatili che consentono all'utente di sostituire la batteria senza dover smontare tutto. Dispositivi che hanno covers facilmente removibili per consentire la sostituzione anche dei componenti. Per non parlare delle porte seriali che, oggi, sono quasi del tutto estinte. Il nostro dispositivo di test ha tutte queste features. La domanda è: cosa ha di altro da offrire?

Tempi di risposta del Display

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Il LifeBook E557 si distingue per il design modulare e per le sue interfacce, qualcosa di raro oggi. Per un costo di 790 Euro ($917), le performance sono buone. Tuttavia, Fujitsu ha risparmiato troppo sul case. Il design può essere definito “retro”. I materiali sembrano economici, ma tutto il resto risulta robusto. Una nota positiva, abbiamo apprezzato molto le opzioni di manutenzione.

In particolare, il LifeBook E557 si distingue per le insolite interfacce e le numerose opzioni di manutenzione.

Per coloro che possono convivere con una qualità dei materiali scarsa e necessitano di un dispositivo con interfacce speciali, il LifeBook E557 è da considerare. La versione di hardware che abbiamo testato offre prestazioni sufficienti per le applicazioni quotidiane. Chi vuole spendere di più può scegliere un display migliore e processori più veloci.
