Il GL702VSK è un notebook di compromessi. Il dispositivo prova ad avere tutto con un carico componenti potenti in uno chassis portatile. Mentre il laptop è sicuramente più portabile rispetto ad altri mostri gaming gioco da 17.3 pollici sul mercato, le performance e la gestione termica soffrono a causa di ciò. È un peccato; il dispositivo per il resto è fantastico. La tastiera è buona e piacevole da usare, la scelta delle porte è buona, e il dispositivo è relativamente sottile e leggero. L'inclusione sia della GeForce GTX 1070 che del display da 120 Hz G-Sync consentono un gioco incredibilmente fluido e visuali assolutamente spettacolari. Il prezzo relativamente basso del nostro SKU (~ $ 1700 USD) rende il dispositivo molto più allettante. Raramente è possibile ottenere tanta potenza per così pochi soldi.
Il calore impatta sul GL702VSK. A causa del design termico scarso e della gestione delle temperature, CPU e GPU si scaldano presto e non c'è spazio per..."respirare". Avremmo voluto vedere un sistema termico più efficiente, ma questo impatterebbe sulle dimensioni e peso del dispositivo.
Il GL702VSK si propone come una powerhouse che i gamers possono portare in giro senza stancarsi la schiena. A tale proposito, il notebook ci riesce di certo. Mentre non può raggiungere gli stessi livelli di potenza pura dei suoi rivali, ma la concorrenza è anche più spessa, più pesante, e molto meno portabile. Ci sono altre opzioni per notebook da gioco compatti, ma questo potrebbe significare un downgrade di dimensioni dello schermo e quindi un'esperienza meno coinvolgente.
Nonostante i problemi con la gestione del calore, pensiamo che Asus centri l'obiettivo del GL702VSK. Il dispositivo offre una eccellente esperienza di gioco a risoluzioni Full HD senza occupare la totalità del vostro backup; pertanto possiamo consigliare l'Asus GL702VSK ai giocatori in cerca di una macchina da gioco potente e portatile.
