Chic. Con lo Yoga 720-13IKB, Lenovo realizza un convertibile chic da 13.3" che brilla per la sua ottima tastiera, un veloce SSD NVMe ed una buona autonomia. Il touchscreen può essere usato sia con le dita che con la penna. Il processore quad-core può utilizzare il suo Turbo boost solo per un breve periodo.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 350 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 90 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 350 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

La CPU ULV rappresenta l'unica innovazione rispetto al modello precedente. Sebbene la CPU possa usare il suo Turbo boost solo per poco tempo, questo non sembra avere un impatto negativo sull'utilizzo quotidiano. La CPU dual-core è sufficiente per le attività quotidiane. Pertanto non ha molto senso per i potenziali clienti avere un modello Yoga 720 con CPU quad-core.


Un modello di questo tipo potrebbe andare bene se intendete usare software ottimizzati per CPUs multi-core. Anche quando la CPU lavora con il suo clock base, è comunque più veloce rispetto al modello dual-core. Tuttavia, coloro che vogliono il massimo delle prestazioni dalla CPU su base permanente dovranno scegliere un dispositivo diverso.

Con lo Yoga 720-13IKB, Lenovo realizza un portatile chic molto buono per scrivere e navigare in internet, ma ci sono delle pecche.

Il convertibile non si scalda molto e resta silenzioso quasi sempre. Un veloce SSD NVMe consente di avere un sistema molto reattivo. L'ampia autonomia e la buona tastiera, retroilluminata consentono una buona esperienza di digitazione.

Lo schermo IPS Full-HD non è nulla di speciale. Sebbene, la luminosità e il contrasto siano accettabili, ci saremmo aspettati di più da un dispositivo di questo prezzo. Il display di un portatile da 1400-Euro (~$1690) non dovrebbe avere problemi di PWM flickering.
