Proprio come i produttori concorrenti, HP monta sull'Elite x2 CPUs Core-m dell'attuale linea Intel Skylake. Le performance sono più che adeguate per la maggioranza degli scenari. Anche con carichi intensi non si notano cali di performance. Tuttavia, la GPU, perde un po' di potenza - ma dopo una breve fase di raffreddamento le performance ritornano a livelli normali. A nostro parere, HP fa un lavoro migliore con il raffreddamento del SoC rispetto a quanto fa Lenovo con il suo IdeaPad Miix 700.

Il Solid State Drive rende il sistema molto reattivo. Se necessario questo particolare SSD può essere sostituito con un modello superiore - sebbene raccomandiamo di far fare questa operazione ad un tecnico. Apprezziamo la keyboard dock, che ha prestazioni alla pari con la concorrenza. Un aspetto positivo è che la tastiera è retroilluminata, cosa che non accade con l'IdeaPad Miix 700. L'autonomia è abbastanza buona nel complesso. Tuttavia, il display potrebbe essere migliorato. Non è molto male il pannello - ma considerando il prezzo, ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di più per quanto concerne luminosità e contrasto.

Il nome Elite x2 1012 G1 indica che questo sganciabile è rivolto agli utenti business. Ma anche gli utenti privati troveranno questo 2-in-1 appealing.

Quindi in definitiva quale è il migliore 2-in-1 - Microsoft Surface 4 ProLenovo IdeaPad Miix 700, HP Elite x2 1012 G1 o Dell XPS 12 9250? Il Dell è immediatamente fuori dai giochi a causa della sua mediocre autonomia. Per gli altri tre diventa una questione di gusti personali, di esigenze, e di budget. Tutti si comportano bene nei nostri tests, quindi possiamo raccomandarli tutti. Il meno costoso IdeaPad Miix 700, votato agli utenti privati. Con tastiera e stylus, il Miix 700 parte da circa 950 Euro (~$1070). Il Surface Pro 4 ha il display più luminoso, molto contrasto, e risoluzione elevata. L'HP Elite x2 1012 G1 ha le migliori prestazioni CPU. Coloro che vogliono un modem LTE integrato devono scegliere Lenovo o HP. Un altro dispositivo che vale la pena considerare è il Samsung Galaxy Tab PRO S. Siamo in fase di recensione di un modello particolare e speriamo di pubblicarla a breve.
