Il nuovo Find X9 Pro è uno smartphone eccellente: è bello da vedere, bello da usare, costruito con ottimi materiali ma soprattutto sotto il profilo fotografico e dell’autonomia è tra i migliori nella sua fascia di prezzo. Due mesi fa avevamo lanciato una provocazione chiedendo se si potesse ancora migliorare un iPhone, e di fronte a questo OPPO ci chiediamo lo stesso: si può ancora migliorare un Find X9 Pro? Probabilmente no: per design, display, autonomia, qualità fotografica e funzionalità è davvero difficile pensare a cosa possa fare OPPO il prossimo anno per dare qualcosa in più. Gli unici punti criticabile sono la scelta del processore e il software. OPPO ha deciso di usare Mediatek al posto di un Qualcomm, ma si tratta di una scelta mirata dell’azienda legata alla necessità di tenere bassi i costi di uno smartphone che con lo Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 sarebbe costato 1.499 euro, troppo.

Nonostante il costo elevato, crediamo che chi ha scelto il Find X9 Pro proprio per il suo comparto foto non debba lasciarselo scappare, anche se lo userà solo in determinate occasioni. Tre suggerimenti ad OPPO: serve una custodia, un obiettivo del genere avrebbe bisogno di una piccola cover per il trasporto, serve lo scatto in RAW, con Lightroom e la riduzione rumore AI si possono fare miracoli scattando ad alti ISO ma soprattutto serve la modalità manuale, con un tele così spinto non si può lasciare allo smartphone la decisione del tempo di posa. A volte è adeguato, a volte no.

Abbiamo provato non più tardi di giugno 2025 il Find X8 Ultra e, diversi giorni prima che Dxomark uscisse con il suo punteggio (che lo posiziona tra i top 3 smartphone per qualità imaging), ci siamo subito resi conto del salto di qualità effettuato da Oppo sul fronte della fotografia. Un salto di qualità ottenuto valorizzando ancora di più la partnership con Hasselblad, sia per la componente di ottica (la geometria delle lenti abbinate ai sensori è finalmente ottimale per permettere alla luce di essere perfettamente allineata al centro della superficie fotosensibile), sia per quanto riguarda gli algoritmi sempre più perfezionati. Con la serie Find X9 questo immenso know-how trova un nuovo punto di partenza: il Pro, oggetto di questa recensione, è la massima espressione delle capacità di sviluppo di Oppo, in termini di IA, imaging, qualità costruttiva e innovazione.

Of course, thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, the battery life and performance are also great. As for the price, it’s at RM5,099. It’s definitely up there with other flagship premium smartphones in the market today. As for the teleconverter lens, it’s a separate purchase and will be at RM999. I think the price tag is a bit hefty since it is essentially a lens that is only usable on the OPPO Find X9 Pro and nothing else (at least for now). Early birds can get it for RM799 only, which is still a bit hefty.
