You'll have to want the big screen as well. On top of that, you get a real keyboard, a full 15W quad-core Core i7, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. There's not much else that you can ask for in a portable PC that's just so light. At $1,699.99, the LG gram 17 is definitely a buy, if this sounds like the type of PC that you're looking for.

The only thing that might give you pause is that the LG Gram 17’s new sibling, the LG Gram 16, is cheaper and slightly more portable, while still offering a decent expanse of screen space to play with. Choose either one, though, and you’re highly unlikely to be disappointed.

Un 17 pollici che pesa quanto un 13 pollici. Lo spazio a schermo cui finora vi ha abituato solo un fisso, racchiuso in un portatile che è davvero "portatile". Questo è LG Gram 17, un compagno di lavoro pressoché unico, che non solo vi accompagnerà ovunque (zaino permettendo) ma anche a lungo, grazie ad un'autonomia da "tutto il giorno" (lavorativo). Resta però il (forte) rimpianto che con un hardware del genere avrebbe potuto fare anche molto di più, sia dal punto di vista lavorativo che ludico, diventando in parte un'occasione sprecata.

The 2020 LG Gram 17 was a great laptop but the 2021 model is even better. LG has made small improvements everywhere you look while doing nothing to undermine the attraction of the original. It’s still ludicrously light and portable for a 17in laptop, but this year’s version has better battery life, improved connectivity and faster performance. With its 17-inch display, light weight and great battery life, the LG Gram 17 (2022) is that rare big-screen laptop that's built to carry all day. While it can't match the display quality or performance of more expensive 17-inch notebooks like the Dell XPS 17 (2022) or the Alienware m17 R5 gaming laptop, that's not what the LG Gram 17 is built to do. This device is built to give you a lot of screen to work on, with plenty of power to keep that screen going all day, without a bunch of junk in the trunk to weigh you down. And in my experience, it delivers.Sure, the sound quality leaves something to be desired and the matte black paint job picks up fingerprints faster than a CSI extra. The built-in software isn't much to get excited about either, but you can deal with those limitations. If what you need is a 17-inch Windows laptop that can run all day and weighs less than 3 pounds, the LG Gram 17 is the laptop for you.

When we reviewed the 17-inch Gram in 2022 it cost $1,799.99—this year's model is $200 more. That isn't excessive considering the switch to discrete graphics (though the RTX 3050 is on the low side among current Nvidia GPUs) but, like the Gram Pro 17's weight surpassing 3 pounds, it makes the system a bit less appealing. We're also unimpressed by the keyboard and unnerved by the screen's wobbling and bowing. Still, the Gram Pro 17 has a lot in its favor. If you set out to buy one of the biggest- and brightest-screened desktop replacement laptops, you'd probably not expect such feathery weight or long battery life. That makes the LG a pleasant surprise if not quite a repeat Editors' Choice winner.

The LG Gram 17 Pro (2023) is a powerful ultraportable with strong battery life that remains deceptively light despite the inclusion of a beefy discrete Nvidia GPU. The full keyboard and large display make working and browsing the web feel comfy, and when you want to unwind the screen and speakers make movies look and sound great. The power of a mid-tier 13th Gen Intel CPU and GeForce RTX 3050 GPU allow you to play a wide variety of games on this laptop too, though you'll need to dial down the settings if you want to achieve the high framerates that 144Hz display can deliver. Still, there are some drawbacks that keep me from recommending this laptop without reservation. The power cable is way too short, for one, which feels especially frustrating when the rest of the laptop's design is so good. The LG Gram 17 Pro's performance is also a little underwhelming compared to competitors of similar size and price. The configuration of Dell XPS 17 we tested last year, for example, can be yours right now for roughly the same price ($1,999) and it offers better performance (thanks to a more powerful CPU and more RAM) than the Gram 17 Pro. However, Dell's laptop has a lower-resolution screen, a lower-quality webcam and weighs nearly 2 pounds more. If you like macOS, Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro is also a compelling alternative. While it costs more ($2,499 to start) and is heavier than the LG Gram 17 Pro, with a smaller screen, Apple's 16-inch Pro is much speedier, offers better battery life and better speakers. However, you won't be able to play as many PC games on the MacBook Pro unless you want to deal with the hassle of getting Windows-only games running in macOS. Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Ultra 7 155H: Un chip Meteor Lake di fascia alta che ha debuttato nel dicembre 2023.
