While it is easy to criticize this smartphone for not going the extra mile compared to the competition and the higher-end market, that’s not the point of the Zenfone 2E. Rather, this is for the user that needs the cheapest way to experience a smartphone without breaking the bank. Granted, you do get what you paid for, but, for the casual gamer, the occasional media streamer, and the user that needs a cell phone with smartphone capabilities, the Asus Zenfone 2E is one of the cheapest ways to get there.

PowerVR SGX544MP2:
Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).
Z2560: SoC con una CPu dual-core Atom based integrata con clock da 1.3 - 2.0 (short bursts), una scheda grafica PowerVR SGX 544MP2 da 400 MHz, ed un controller di memoria dual channel LPDDR2.
