Questo ROG va molto bene, è veloce e stabile ma pesante e le camere non sono all'altezza del prezzo, mentre a differenza del mondo PC, qui l'hardware da gaming non è poi così diverso da altri smartphone. Il prezzo è di ben 1.399 euro quindi forse prenderei la versione non Pro, perdendo solo un po' di memoria ed il display dietro ma a 1.099 euro.

Quindi ROG Phone 6 Pro risulta unico, difficile da comparare agli altri. La sua potenza estrema permette di giocare veramente a qualsiasi gioco senza compromessi, al massimo della velocità. Soprattutto, con una stabilità assoluta anche dopo ore sotto sforzo. Inoltre ha la possibilità di utilizzare il software e soprattutto tutti gli accessori per il gaming di Asus. Se vi serve questo da uno smartphone, ROG Phone 6 Pro non ha rivali. Per queste prestazioni da gaming assolute, dovete apprezzare il design orgoglioso da gamer e farmi andar bene il peso sopra la media e le prestazioni fotografiche non certo da top di gamma. In cambio avrete però il sistema più fluido e scattante su Android e una batteria con pochi paragoni. Resta però da sottolineare che, per la maggior parte dei giocatori, il gaming su smartphone risulta fluido anche con dispositivi non dedicati. E visto il prezzo da top di gamma, chiedetevi se davvero volete gaming phone, oppure uno smartphone con cui giocare. Se preferite la prima opzione, non c’è dubbio: ROG Phone 6 Pro è il re dei gaming phone.

ASUS ROG Phone 6 è disponibile nella versione base a 1099 Euro con 12/256GB di memoria e 1199 Euro con 16/512 GB, mentre la versione Pro viene offerta a 1399€ per con 16/256GB di memoria. Prezzi che salgono leggermente rispetto al precedente modello, in parte giustificati comunque da un miglioramento tecnologico interessante. L’unico aspetto debole di Asus Rog Phone 6 Pro come da aspettative è il comparto fotografico, tutto sommato non particolarmente rilevante per chi è alla ricerca di uno smartphone dove consumare sessioni di gioco a non finire, è pur vero però che superata la soglia dei 1000 Euro il pacchetto deve essere completo e, in questo caso, è sufficiente un miglioramento lato software (atteso a dirla tutta anche dalle precedenti generazioni) mentre continuerà a sentirsi la manca della ricarica wireless e una certificazione acqua e polvere di maggior livello. Asus Rog Phone 6 Pro si conferma ancora una volta come il miglior smartphone da gaming sul mercato, alzando ancora una volta l’asticella.

Rog Phone 6 si conferma essere nuovamente il RE dei gaming phone, un prodotto estremamente completo e che offre tutto quello che si potrebbe desiderare da un prodotto di questa tipologia. Rimane ovviamente un dispositivo particolare esteticamente, non adatto a tutti ma in grado comunque di essere utilizzato in qualunque contesto, anche e soprattutto lavorativo. Difficilmente superabile per autonomia, non ha punti deboli se non gusti soggettivi e una fotocamera che potrebbe non essere sufficiente per coloro che cercano il massimo sotto questo aspetto. Ma stiamo pur sempre parlando di uno smartphone pensato per altro no?

The ROG Phone 5S and 5S Pro were a little underwhelming by Asus’ lofty standards, but the company has emphatically put that right this time around. The ROG Phone 6 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Qualcomm’s latest top-of-the-line chip. Combined with 18GB of RAM, you’ll struggle to find better performance on any smartphone. The phone also has the joint-highest refresh rate of any phone at 165Hz, improving a display that was already excellent. Thanks to the 6000mAh battery, battery life remains a real highlight. Elsewhere, you now get a better main camera on the back than on older models, plus IPX4 water resistance for the first time and some impressive charging features. However, it’s not all good news. The other rear cameras are underwhelming, while a heavy, bulky design won’t please all mobile gamers. Asus still hasn’t included a built-in fan either, so the phone can run hot unless you connect an external version that’s sold separately. None of these should be dealbreakers on a gaming phone, but they become more significant when you’re paying a lot.

I think if you’re looking for a gaming phone, then I would highly recommend considering the ROG Phone 6 series. While ASUS hasn’t announced official pricing or availability for the US at the time of this review, we know it won’t be cheap. That being said, I still think you get what you pay for in most cases. And hands down, you’re paying for the best gaming experience on mobile when you buy a ROG Phone. With the ability to map up to 14 touch points on screen with use of the AirTrigger 6 system, better audio, a bright clear display with a fast refresh rate, and a large battery, the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro are powerhouses. This is the best of the best of gaming phones. And while I do think there are still some things ASUS could have done to make the phones even better, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is the best mobile gaming experience on the market. Plus, the phone finally comes with at least some official water resistance. ASUS knocked it out of the park again, and I’m not surprised.

Chip grafico per smartphone e tablet integrato nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Qualcomm sostiene che è il 30% più veloce dell'Adreno 660 nel SoC Snapdragon 888. Per Android dovrebbe essere una delle schede grafiche più veloci alla fine del 2021.

SD 8+ Gen 1:

SoC di fascia alta per smartphone introdotto alla fine del 2021 e prodotto in 4 nm presso TSMC. Integra un "Prime Core" basato su architettura ARM Cortex-X2 con clock fino a 3,2 GHz. Altri tre core ad alte prestazioni sono basati sull'A710 ma con clock fino a 2,5 GHz. Inoltre, sono integrati quattro core a risparmio energetico basati sull'architettura ARM Cortex-A510 con clock fino a 1,8 GHz.
