È facile voler bene a Redmi Pad SE: nel folto gruppo dei tablet economici, il nuovo nato di casa Xiaomi si distingue per l'ottima qualità costruttiva e per una spiccata propensione alla riproduzione di contenuti audiovisivi, grazie a un display e a quattro altoparlanti che rappresentano i suoi valori aggiunti. Le prestazioni nude e crude sono invece modeste come quelle di molti altri competitor, ma più che adeguate per l'utilizzo che è ragionevole fare con un dispositivo del genere. Il grosso problema, come accennavamo in apertura, è una spietata concorrenza interna: fintanto che il precedente Redmi Pad - superiore in molti aspetti - si troverà a un prezzo equivalente se non addirittura inferiore, è onestamente difficile consigliare l'acquisto di questo Redmi Pad SE.

Redmi Pad SE esce ad un prezzo di listino di 219,90 €, ma è disponibile sin dal primo giorno a 199,90 € nella variante 4/128 (quella in nostro possesso e l’unica disponibile sullo store). Tenendo conto del periodo attuale e della concorrenza il prezzo è abbastanza a fuoco, ma credo che serva un ulteriore drop di prezzo (che si assesti magari sui 150 €) per farlo diventare appetibile, passando sopra ai compromessi che inevitabilmente un dispositivo del genere richiede. Forse, si poteva chiedere qualcosa di più in termini di display e performance, due aspetti dove purtroppo Redmi Pad SE non dà il meglio.
