Test della Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 con 8GB: quali sono le capacità del nuovo modello entry-level della serie RTX-3000?

Un'entrata economica nella serie Ampere? All'inizio di quest'anno, Nvidia ha introdotto un'ulteriore scheda grafica Ampere chiamata Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. La GeForce RTX 3050 rappresenta ora l'ingresso nel mondo della serie RTX-3000. Con l'esempio della KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX, diamo uno sguardo più dettagliato alle prestazioni del modello entry-level.

A questo punto, la serie GeForce RTX-3000 è stata sul mercato per un po'. Eppure, Nvidia segue ancora all'inizio dell'anno, presentando la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. Con questo, c'è ora un rappresentante economico nel segmento entry-level che dovrebbe facilitare l'ingresso nella serie RTX-3000.

Per testarlo, il produttore KFA2 ci ha fornito un campione di prova corrispondente. Per essere precisi, usiamo la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX. Con la modalità Fan Stop, la nostra unità di prova offre una caratteristica utile che permette un funzionamento silenzioso in 2D. Inoltre, è anche visivamente accattivante con l'illuminazione RGB. Per il chip grafico, il GeForce RTX 3050 utilizza un modulo del più veloce Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Tuttavia, il GA106 utilizzato è un modulo che è significativamente più debole. Alla fine, rimangono ancora 2560 unità shader che sono in grado di utilizzare 8 GB di GDDR6-VRAM complessivamente. Con questo, Nvidia conta e supera la AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT in questo settore, offrendo tanta VRAM quanto la AMD Radeon RX 6600. In termini di consumo energetico, la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 è relativamente efficiente con 130 watt. Tuttavia, il modello di KFA2 richiede ancora una connessione di alimentazione a 8 pin. Esternamente, può servire fino a quattro monitor allo stesso tempo. Per questo, c'è una singola connessione HDMI che supporta lo standard più recente (2.1) e tre connessioni DisplayPort (1.4a).

Al momento del suo rilascio, Nvidia ha specificato un prezzo consigliato di 279 euro (~$304). Tuttavia, a causa dell'attuale situazione di mercato, è chiaro che questo prezzo non può essere mantenuto. La nostra attuale unità di test costa 389 euro (~$423), che è significativamente più del prezzo di vendita consigliato da Nvidia.

Il nostro sistema di test è basato su un AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

Un attuale sistema AMD basato sull'Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi serve come piattaforma di test. Il AMD Ryzen 9 5900Xoffre una buona performance della CPU, e stiamo usando un AiO (Alphacool Eisbear 360) per il raffreddamento. I 32 GB di memoria di lavoro provengono da G.Skill e ci sono stati forniti. Usiamo un Acer Predator XB321HK come monitor, che non ci limita con la sua capacità UHD. Le velocità di clock della INNO3D GeForce RTX 3060 Twin X2

In termini di velocità di clock della KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX, KFA2 supera leggermente le velocità di clock Boost delle specifiche Nvidia nella nostra unità di test. Allo stesso tempo, le velocità di clock Boost sono chiaramente superate in quasi tutti i giochi. La KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX gira spesso a velocità di clock tra 1900 MHz e 1960 MHz nei nostri test di gioco. In questo modello, l'obiettivo di potenza non può essere aumentato ulteriormente, il che limita leggermente le opzioni di overclock.

Parametri di riferimento sintetici

Nei primi test che abbiamo eseguito per i benchmark sintetici, la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX si piazza esattamente dove ci aspettavamo in anticipo. A causa dei suoi dati tecnici, ci aspettavamo già uno svantaggio significativo per la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Tuttavia, la GeForce RTX 3050 ha fatto sorprendentemente bene rispetto alla Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super, che è in grado di tenere sotto controllo nella maggior parte dei test. Rispetto ad AMD, la nostra unità di test è in grado di posizionarsi tra laAMD Radeon RX 5500 XTe laAMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. A questo punto, non siamo ancora riusciti a mettere le mani su un modello entry-level dell'attuale serie AMD Radeon RX-6000 (AMD Radeon RX 6400 o AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT).

Nei test di gioco, la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX fa abbastanza bene, perdendo solo il 15% nella valutazione delle prestazioni rispetto alla Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. La nostra unità di test supera facilmente la Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Supere ci si può aspettare circa il 10% di prestazioni in più. Il AMD Radeon RX 5500 XTnon ha alcuna possibilità contro la GeForce RTX 3050, anche se il nostro modello di test di KFA2 non è in grado di competere con unaAMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.

Dando un'occhiata a tutti i giochi che abbiamo testato con la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX mostra che questo modello è chiaramente una scheda grafica da gioco 1080p. I giochi più recenti, come God of War per esempio, pongono elevate richieste alla scheda grafica nelle impostazioni massime. Qui abbiamo misurato solo 38 FPS. Tuttavia, questi sono solo alcuni outlier separati, dal momento che la maggior parte dei giochi possono essere goduti con dettagli massimi in FullHD a 60-100 FPS. È possibile giocare ad alcuni giochi in modo fluido a volte anche a 1440p

Gli 8 GB di VRAM integrati sono buoni e rassicuranti, dato che gli FPS calano notevolmente quando si raggiunge il limite della VRAM. Questo non accade mentre si gioca a 1080p con la quantità di VRAM presente. Come al solito, usiamo il gioco"The Witcher 3"(preset 1080p Ultra) per misurare i frame rate e il loro sviluppo. Durante la registrazione delle nostre misurazioni, ci sono alcuni outlier separati, ma questi non hanno un'influenza significativa sulle latenze. Anche lo sviluppo del frame rate è poco appariscente, cadendo solo leggermente nel mezzo, ma questo può essere ricondotto alla scena di gioco. Con una media di 59,4 FPS, il gioco gira senza problemi in ogni momento nelle impostazioni di dettaglio massimo.

Le emissioni della KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX lasciano una buona impressione. Il TDP relativamente basso di soli 130 watt ha un effetto positivo sul consumo di energia sotto carico. Misuriamo solo 247 watts per l'intero sistema di test. Questo è circa lo stesso della AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, ma che offre prestazioni significativamente inferiori

Il sistema di raffreddamento integrato con le sue due ventole assiali da 92 millimetri (~3.6 in) assicura un ottimo raffreddamento sotto carico. Durante lo stress test, la temperatura della GPU era di soli 70 °C (158 °F), anche se la temperatura dell'hotspot è risultata leggermente più alta, quasi 84 °C (183 °F). Tuttavia, c'è ancora un margine sufficiente fino a quando c'è un po' di throttling dovuto alle temperature

In termini di emissioni di rumore, non abbiamo notato alcun fastidioso fruscio della bobina nella KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX. Non siamo in grado di determinare se questo è anche il caso di altri modelli del produttore o siamo stati semplicemente fortunati. La scheda grafica ha anche una modalità di arresto della ventola, in modo da non sentire affatto la scheda grafica durante il funzionamento in idle. Sotto carico, le ventole aumentano un po', creando un tranquillo rumore di fruscio che è udibile al di fuori del case chiuso. Ad una distanza di 15 cm (~5.9 in), abbiamo misurato un livello di rumore di 39.8 dB(A) durante lo stress test.

La KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX è un rappresentante delle nuove schede grafiche entry-level dell'attuale serie Nvidia RTX-3000. Il modello offre caratteristiche utili, producendo una performance leggermente superiore con la maggiore velocità di clock Boost rispetto ai dati di riferimento. Nel confronto diretto delle prestazioni, la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX mostra circa la stessa velocità di una Nvidia GeForce RTX 1660 Super. Tuttavia, con 8 GB di VRAM, ci sono 2 GB in più in questo modello RTX. Inoltre, il nuovo modello entry-level offre anche DLSS e raytracing, che era stato riservato ai modelli GTX. In termini di equipaggiamento, la nostra unità di test segna anche un'illuminazione RGB che aggiunge un po' di appeal visivo alla scheda grafica. Coloro che non amano questo possono anche disattivarlo utilizzando un piccolo interruttore direttamente sulla scheda grafica.

La KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX è una scheda grafica efficiente per il gioco a 1080p che non è avara di VRAM.

La scheda grafica è stata in grado di impressionarci con una prestazione che è solida in tutto. Anche durante l'uso intensivo, non ci sono salti di prestazioni e l'utente ottiene ancora prestazioni costanti. Questo è il risultato di una combinazione di basso consumo energetico e un buon sistema di raffreddamento che mantiene sempre una buona gestione della scheda grafica. Tuttavia, la Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 deve confrontarsi con la Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super o laNvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super come concorrenti. Coloro che attualmente possiedono una scheda grafica ancora più vecchia o più lenta e non vogliono pagare i prezzi elevati dei modelli di fascia media o alta possono eventualmente fare un buon compromesso per un certo periodo con l'acquisto di una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. Attualmente, i prezzi dei modelli di punta stanno scendendo leggermente. Allo stesso tempo, la KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX non è disponibile da nessuna parte al prezzo di vendita consigliato da Nvidia.
