Per un prezzo onesto di circa 580 Euro (~$682; $565 in alcuni negozi online in USA), avrete un dispositivo ben costruito e ben configurato da 5.3" la cui dual-camera si fa notare con una feature mai vista prima.

This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Il Nokia 8 si fa notare con il suo buon case in alluminio ed uno schermo molto luminoso QHD da 5.3". Inoltre guadagna punti con il suo SoC high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Questo, unitamente a 4 GB di RAM ed allo scattante acceleratore Adreno 540 pixel, consente sempre una velocità elevata di lavoro. Poi ci sono l'ampia autonomia, la ricarica veloce tramite Quick Charge 3.0 ed anche un punto di forza unico con il "Bothie": la fotocamera da 13 MP del Nokia 8 riesce contemporaneamente a scattare foto e registrare videos con la sua webcam e la fotocamera principale con una modalità split-screen e crea quasi un double-selfie. Questo vale anche con la risoluzione 4K e si unisce ad un ottimo suono sorround 360° grazie ai tre microfoni.

Con il Nokia 8, HMD Global offre uno smartphone premium-range che si comporta bene quasi sotto tutti i punti di vista, e conseguentemente si colloca vicino ai leaders come l'Apple iPhone 8 o il Samsung Galaxy S8. Tuttavia, non riesce a competere del tutto con questi rivali.

Anche tralasciando l'innovativa funzione della fotocamera che sicuramente piacerà agli utenti creativi, il Nokia 8 resta comunque un buon telefono. Tuttavia, qualche piccola pecca impedisce di raggiungere un punteggio migliore. Ad esempio, ci si aspetta una certificazione IP67 per la protezione da polvere ed acqua da un dispositivo di fascia premium. Inoltre avremmo voluto più frequenze nel veloce modulo LTE. Qualche banda mancante impedisce al Nokia 8 di essere un vero globetrotter. La velocità di trasmissione Wi-Fi non è molto entusiasmante rispetto agli altri concorrenti di fascia premium.

In aggiunta alla variante single-SIM che abbiamo testato, Nokia offre anche l'8 in versione con slot dual-SIM. Inoltre, a breve sarà lanciato un modello con 128 GB di spazio. Tuttavia, le informazioni non sono ancora disponibili sul sito web Nokia.
