Piccolo ma rumoroso. L'Aorus X3 Plus v7 ha molta potenza in poco spazio. Mentre i componenti interni sono impressionati, rumorosità e temperatura sono problematiche. A parte le emissioni, l'X3 Plus v7 è un buon portatile gaming.

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . L'X3 Plus v7 è un dispositivo ambizioso. Aorus continua a mettere hardware potente in un case compatto. Sfortunatamente, l'X3 si spinge troppo oltre, ed il risultato è un portatile con compromessi. Sicuramente ci sono delle highlights, ma anche dei prezzi da pagare per questo livello di prestazioni, e forse Aorus ha agito nel modo errato.

Il design dell'X3 è eccellente. La rifinitura attraente si unisce ad accenti eleganti, e lo chassis risulta molto carino, l'utilizzo del metallo intorno alla base dà al dispositivo un aspetto costoso. Lo schermo QHD+ è sorprendente. Immagini e testi sono abbastanza definiti, i colori sono vibranti e lo schermo resta luminoso e leggibile anche sotto la luce diretta del sole. Siamo rimasti impressionati anche dalle prestazioni gaming. E' fantastico che gli utenti ora possano avere prestazioni desktop (o migliori) con un portatile così compatto. Inoltre, la possibilità di effettuare l'overclock di CPU e GPU è una aggiunta interessante; aggiunge più flessibilità.

Sfortunatamente, queste prestazioni hanno un prezzo. Lo chassis è troppo piccolo per gestire il calore generato dai potenti componenti interni, il che spinge le ventole a lavorare in modo continuo ed aggressivo per tenere basse le temperature. Il risultato finale è un portatile rumoroso che si scalda e che può mostrare throttling. Inoltre, l'eccessivo consumo che va oltre il limite dell'alimentatore può destare preoccupazioni. In definitiva, l'utente deve prestare attenzione quando spinge il portatile al limite.

Nel complesso, ci piace l'Aorus X3 Plus v7. Ha prestazioni elevate, ma rispetto ai concorrenti Gigabyte Aero 14 ed Alienware 13, l'X3 resta dietro per certi aspetti. La tastiera è nella media, il touchpad frustrante, ed i problemi di calore e rumorosità fanno restare in dietro l'X3 rispetto ad altri portatili gaming leggeri e sottili.

Sebbene l'Aorus X3 Plus v7 offra prestazioni impressionanti in un case piccolo, ci sono troppi compromessi per poter raccomandare questo dispositivo. Ci sono opzioni più bilanciate per i giocatori che cercano un dispositivo portatile.
