Un concept semplice. Le aspettative per un convertibile che vi accompagni nelle vostre giornate sono elevate. A parte un sistema operativo Windows completo, prestazioni ed autonomia devono essere buone. Dovrebbe esserci anche un display luminoso e una costruzione solida - e il tutto, ad un buon prezzo. Asus ha una soluzione da offrire: il Transformer Book.

Tempi di risposta del Display

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 294 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 80 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 294 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8698 (minimum: 43 - maximum: 142900) Hz was measured.

Un concept datato ma affidabile è stato realizzato con successo. Asus è considerata pioniera dei prodotti convertibili ed ora ha presentato un piccolo dispositivo da 10" con sistema operativo Windows. Il case è in materiali di alta qualità ed è stabile. Solo l'ampia base interferisce un po' con l'impressione complessiva. La tastiera che si appoggia sulla scrivania ha tasti leggermente più piccoli rispetto al solito. Ma è comoda da usare. Il touchpad invece andrebbe migliorato. Ci ha deluso anche la bassa risoluzione del display. La sua luminosità tuttavia è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Il dispositivo offre anche buone prestazioni e resta avanti nei benchmarks rispetto alla concorrenza. Anche l'autonomia di questo convertibile è buona.

Il nuovo 10" Asus Transformer Book si dimostra un utile compagno.

Se non volete spendere molto e cercare solo un dispositivo secondario, potete dare uno sguardo all'Acer Switch One 10. Il Lenovo IdeaPad Miix ha un modulo LTE per la connessione internet mobile.
