In definitiva lo Smartphone ci è piaciuto sotto molti aspetti come per esempio il Software e l’usabilità generale, forse leggermente ingombrante ma l’idea di avere uno Zoom 3X sul retro in certe situazioni vi farà dimenticare di questo particolare.

Asus Zenfone Zoom è acquistabile online a circa 450 euro. Si tratta di un prezzo abbastanza elevato per quanto offre questo smartphone. Non solo non eccelle nel campo in cui dovrebbe, ma inoltre presenta un surriscaldamento fuori dal comune che dà fastidio nell’uso quotidiano. Insomma, questo Zenfone questa volta non mi ha convinto.

Asus Zenfone ZOOM non è un camera phone. Non c’è da aggiungere altro, semplicemente non lo è. Di conseguenza il prezzo di acquisto è troppo alto. Non è un device da bocciare, ma lo si deve scegliere senza pretese e – soprattutto – solo quando il prezzo scenderà di almeno 250€. Attualmente, 550€ sono davvero troppi.

But despite all this, it’s capacious, powerful and it does have a USP, a Unique Selling Point, that lifts it from the Android mainstream. If, like me, your phone has to be your always-with-you-camera and if you find yourself wanting to add zoom into many daily shots, to get up ‘closer’ with your subjects, then this is definitely worth considering, warts and all.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Intel Atom:

La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).

I display con dimensioni maggiori consentono risoluzioni più elevate. Quindi, i dettagli come le lettere sono più grandi. D'altro canto, il consumo energetico è inferiore negli schermi con diagonali piccole e su dispositivi più piccoli, più leggeri ed economici.
