Xiaomi 15T Pro è uno smartphone veloce, concreto e bilanciato. Il Dimensity 9400+ ha la giusta reattività nelle attività quotidiane e potenza sufficiente anche per il gioco a 60 fps. Se non bastasse, con un uso normale i due giorni di autonomia sono realistici. Il telaio e il design sono semplici ma comunque curati, e il peso è ben distribuito. La tripla fotocamera Leica è sorprendentemente uniforme, con la principale, la ultragrandangolare e la tele 5x che producono risultati coerenti di giorno, di notte e al chiuso. Dei difetti però ce li ha. Lo schermo non è LTPO e quindi non scende a 1 Hz in blocco schermo. Sotto stress prolungato la CPU riduce la frequenza dopo pochi minuti. HyperOS non permette di personalizzare lo swipe verso il basso (notifiche e Centro di controllo restano separati),

E chiudiamo con un capitolo di considerazioni, partendo come sempre dal prezzo. Xiaomi ha deciso di mantenere invariata la strategia di prezzo rispetto allo scorso anno. Lo Xiaomi 15T Pro nella configurazione da 256 GB parte da 799 euro di listino, ma già al lancio non mancano promozioni interessanti: la più significativa è l’extravalutazione di 100 euro sull’usato, che porta il prezzo effettivo a 699 euro. Inoltre, Xiaomi ci ha fornito un codice sconto esclusivo da usare su mi.com, che vi permette di ottenere un’ulteriore sconto di 150 euro a carrello, ve lo lascio scritto qui sotto. Con questo codice si arriva sostanzialmente ad un prezzo potenziale di 549 che, per uno smartphone che vi offre quanto detto sopra non è assolutamente male, anzi, a mio parere lo spedisce direttamente nella sfera di quelli che definiamo Best Buy, senza nemmeno aspettare il calo fisiologico dello street price.

Le prestazioni offerte dal SoC Mediatek sono eccellenti, così come l’autonomia e la qualità dello schermo. Buone anche le prestazioni delle fotocamere, qualcosa va meglio e qualcosa va peggio rispetto allo Xiaomi 15, ma in generale i risultati sono sempre buoni. Considerato anche al prezzo ci sta, quello che non vorremmo vedere sono le pubblicità nel software, ma per ora rimangono. Al prezzo di 799 euro tuttavia Xiaomi 15T Pro si è confermato un buon prodotto, e lo sarà ancora di più quando scenderà ulteriormente di prezzo.

Tuttavia, il rapporto qualità-prezzo al lancio risulta meno convincente; considerando però che con le varie promozioni è possibile acquistarlo sotto i 560€ la storia si fa leggermente diversa. I punti di forza includono l’ottimo display, le prestazioni elevate, la ricarica rapidissima e wireless e la costruzione solida con certificazione IP68. Sul fronte delle criticità troviamo la fotocamera ultra-wide di qualità inferiore, alcuni micro-lag software che dovrebbero essere risolti con HyperOS 3.0, e dimensioni generose che potrebbero non gradire a tutti. Essendo però il software una componente molto importante, sicuramente ci torneremo sopra una volta ricevuto l’aggiornamento per capire se e quanto sarà migliorato.

After spending over a week with my SIM in the Xiaomi 15T Pro, there’s very little to dislike. Is it a truly flagship experience? Given that this device uses the previous model MediaTek chip and that its performance doesn’t blow me away, I would probably splurge on a OnePlus flagship or even the Xiaomi 15 base device. Switching to a proper flagship device may cost anywhere from $100-$200 more, but you will get a pile of bonuses, which could include more storage, a more reliable camera, a better selfie camera, and, in the OnePlus 13’s case, a better battery, too. If that price difference is monumental to your budget, you won’t be let down with the Xiaomi 15T Pro; however, if you can afford it, there are better options available.

We're a bit confused with the Xiaomi 15T Pro. The "T" series started as a trimmed-down, affordable version of the main flagship models, but in the past couple of iterations, the Xiaomi xxT devices became almost as expensive as the regular flagships. The Xiaomi 15T Pro starts at 799 euros, which is a flagship price, no matter how you look at it. Granted, it's cheaper than the 999-euro Xiaomi 15, but still more expensive than the Pixel 10, or the Galaxy S25, or the iPhone 17. Which makes it a tough sell. Don't get us wrong, the phone shines (literally) in more than one department—the screen is one of the brightest out there, the battery life is second to none, and the camera system is quite flexible as well. The trouble is at this price point, those things are expected and not that surprising.

The easy answer is ‘anyone who wants great value for money’, but picking out specifically who should buy certain mid-range phones is hard because they are often so similar.But the Xiaomi 15T Pro has a clear marker. If you want what is possibly the best overall camera package on a smartphone for less than £700, then this is categorically the phone for you. Honestly, I don’t think you’ll find better photos at 5x zoom at this price point. Add onto that the fact that the display is spectacular and the build quality feels almost exactly like the iPhone 17 Pro series, then it’s hard to argue that this phone doesn’t sit somewhere near the top of the mid-range pile. And as I said above, it plunges the iPhone 16e into even further depths of embarrassment. For £50 more, you get a far more feature-rich experience and cameras that blow it out of the water. The 15T Pro can stand up against a 'true' flagship. As a smartphone, it does lag behind in the camera software and processing department, but given the price, I think this can be excused. It won't beat even the base model Google Pixels for stills photography from the main camera, not much can for image quality and dynamic range, but it's a point worth making still. Hopefully, Xiaomi is listening and continues to evolve its software processing and camera application across its family of handsets, as they all exhibit the same flaws I have talked about in all of my Xiaomi/POCO/Redmi coverage to date. The main thing to look at here is that this phone comes in at nearly half the cost of an equivalent Galaxy S flagship, which also includes the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, which reaches an eye-watering £1500 for the 1TB model.

The speakers remain a weak link, and some may miss the more striking colorways that the 14T Pro has. But as a whole, the 15T Pro feels like a more balanced and dependable device than the 13T Pro. For users of the 15T Pro, this might not feel like a must-upgrade unless battery life and gaming performance are priorities. But for anyone like me who is coming from older hardware or looking for a flagship that blends Leica imaging, strong performance, and decent battery life, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is a great and refined choice.

This year's Xiaomi 15T Pro doesn't deviate from this formula. It has a revamped, more iPhone-like design, along with incremental upgrades, from a larger screen and larger battery to an updated flagship MediaTek processor to having the first-ever 5x telephoto lens in the series. Overall, the new phone feels premium and attractive, especially the Mocha Gold version that I tested. If you're coming from a flagship device, you won't miss much with the Xiaomi 15T Pro. Its Leica-branded cameras are good. Performance is also good enough — it can rival the Pixel 10 Pro phones — and battery life is much improved over last year's version. Best of all, it starts at S$799 (12GB + 256GB), which, despite a slight price hike, is still competitive against the other near-flagship phones hovering below the S$1,000 mark.

Mediatek's Dimensity 9400 Plus is the brains here, so the Xiaomi 15T Pro can handle everything you throw at it, and keep IceCool while doing so. Battery life is good enough for more demanding users too. Even with hours of Android Auto and camera action, I never ran dry in a single day.
