Input con la penna. Il convertibile Odys ha una active pen che consente un utilizzo semplice della funzionalità Windows Ink. Inoltre è silenzioso, ha una buona autonomia e uno schermo IPS. Con un prezzo di circa 260 Euro (~$276) il dispositivo è economico.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Il processore Atom della generazione Cherry Trail del Vario Pro offre prestazioni sufficienti per semplici attività da ufficio ed Internet. Un decoder integrato nella GPU aiuta il processore nella riproduzione di videos. Il computer può essere usato come base per vedere video in silenzio con la TV a casa.

Con il Vario Pro 12, Odys offre un convertibile tuttofare in formato 11.6" che si distingue dalla concorrenza con una penna input.

La tastiera lascia una buona impressione. Questo si unisca alla buona autonomia e una garanzia di due anni. Lo schermo IPS piace con angoli di visuale stabili e un decente contrasto. La luminosità, tuttavia, potrebbe essere migliore. La active pen in dotazione consente un comodo utilizzo della funzione Windows Ink.

Come molti dispositivi paragonabili, il convertibile Odys offre solo 2 GB di memoria di lavoro ed un drive da 32 GB. Molto limitati entrambi. A nostro parere un sistema Windows dovrebbe avere almeno 4 GB di RAM ed un drive da 64 GB. L'assenza di una porta USB Type-C lascia a desiderare. Un dispositivo del 2017 dovrebbe averla. Non dimentichiamo nemmeno la lentezza della WLAN.
