Convertibile ben concepito! Lo ZenBook Flip combina una moltitudine di dispositivi in uno solo. L'idoneità al gioco non è più un problema per il sottile convertibile di quanto lo siano le applicazioni pesanti per la CPU. Questo esame dettagliato mostrerà se c'è un buon risultato.

Lo Zenbook Flip 15 torna con le CPU Intel Core H di 12a generazione e la nuova GPU Intel Arc A370M che sostituiscono rispettivamente le opzioni Core U dello scorso anno e la GTX 1650 Max-Q di GeForce. Sebbene le prestazioni della CPU siano incredibilmente veloci per un convertibile, forse la scelta di GeForce MX550 sarebbe stata migliore.

Un ultrabook AMD Zen + Nvidia MX sembrava interessante qualche anno fa, ma è troppo poco e troppo tardi ora che le CPU Zen 3+ sono disponibili con la Radeon 680M integrata, più veloce, più piccola e più efficiente. L'MX450 di GeForce non è comunque male se non vi dispiace il peso e lo spessore aggiuntivi.

Con il marchio ROG (Republic of Gamers), ASUS produce laptop da gioco conosciuti dai giocatori per le loro potenti specifiche, schede grafiche dedicate, display ad alta frequenza di aggiornamento e sistemi di raffreddamento avanzati.
Oltre ai giochi, viene offerta un'ampia gamma di notebook per esigenze e budget diversi, dagli ultrabook ultrasottili e leggeri ai versatili convertibili 2 in 1 e alle opzioni economiche. Nel 2023, Asus deteneva una quota di mercato globale del 7% del mercato dei PC.

Scheda grafica mainstream basata sull'architettura Nvidia Pascal ed è il successore della GeForce GTX 960M. E' realizzata in 14nm da Samsung e le specifiche tecniche sono molto simili alla versione desktop.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q:
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
NVIDIA GeForce MX450:
GPU entry level Gimped GeForce GTX 1650 (Turing TU117) con memoria grafica GDDR5 o GDDR6. Disponibile in 4 diverse varianti, dove la LP = versione a bassa potenza con 12 Watt TGP è la più lenta.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
Intel A370M: L'Intel Arc A370M è una scheda grafica dedicata mobile entry level basata sulla microarchitettura Xe HPG. Offre 8 core (128 ALU), 8 unità di ray tracing e un core di base di 1550 MHz. Il TGP è specificato tra 35 e 50 Watt.

i5-8550U:
Processore Kaby-Lake-Refresh basato su un processore quad-core low power. I quattro cores hanno un clock tra 1.8 e 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock tra 300 e 1,150 MHz. Il SoC è realizzato in 14nm+ FinFET.
Intel Core i7:

i7-10510U: Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato su Comet Lake (tecnicamente identico a Whiskey Lake e ancora prodotto in 14nm++). I core della CPU possono clockare tra 1,8 e 4,9 GHz (tutti e 4 i 4 core a 4,3 GHz max.) con HyperThreading (8 thread). Il controller di memoria integrato supporta DDR4-2666 e utilizzando cTDP su/giù le prestazioni possono essere regolate dall'OEM (10 - 25 Watt possibili, 15W di default).
Intel Alder Lake-S:
i7-12700H:
Un processore mobile basato su Alder-Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper-threading, consentendo l'elaborazione di 20 thread. Il processore opera a frequenze comprese tra 1,7 e 4,7 GHz e supporta vPro.
