Due è meglio di uno. Anche se non è passato molto tempo dal suo debutto sul mercato, il successore è già disponibile: dopo neanche cinque mesi dal nostro test, Aorus ha lanciato il nuovo modello del suo sottile notebook da videogiochi di fascia alta, l'X7. Al posto di una coppia di GTX 765M in SLI, stavolta abbiamo due GTX 860M che garantiscono prestazioni gaming poderose.

Aorus X7 Pro-Sync looks great and delivers fine gaming performance however the cooling in this slender laptop is marginal at best. The result is that the cooling fans are horribly noisy. It doesn’t help that battery life is unimpressive but we can forgive that in a gaming laptop. The issue here is that Aorus has put the emphasis on making the X7 Pro-Sync very thin and this has impacted on the usability and performance. When you consider the high price of this laptop it is quite a problem. It is a crying shame that Aorus could have made the laptop a few millimeters thicker and the result would probably have turned out better for the paying customer.

Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile:

Scheda grafica Pascal based high-end mobile basata su un GP104 ridotto (come la GTX 1080) e memoria grafica GDDR5. E' il successore della GTX 980M con un TDP più alto di 10 Watts. Simile per prestazioni alla GTX 1070 desktop, ma con più shaders e velocità clock inferiori.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Mobile:

Scheda grafica Pascal based per portatili che utilizza memoria grafica GDDR5. Dovrebbe offrire prestazioni simili alla desktop GTX 1080.

4700HQ:

4870HQ:

Processore quad-core Haswell-based con clock da 2.5 GHz con supporto Turbo Boost fino a 3.7 GHz. Offre una GPU integrata Iris Pro Graphics 5200 ed un controller di memoria dual-channel DDR3.

5850HQ:

Processore Broadwell-based quad-core per notebooks. Offre una GPU integrata Iris Pro Graphics 6200 ed è realizzato in 14 nm.

6820HK:

Processore Skylake-based quad-core per notebooks. Offre una GPU integrata HD Graphics 530 ed è realizzato in 14 nm.

Intel Kaby Lake:

i7-7820HK:

Processore quad-core per notebook basato sull'architettura Kaby Lake che gira a 2.9 - 3.9 GHz. E' il secondo modello per velocità della serie consumers H all'inizio del 2017. Il chip integra anche una GPU HD Graphics 630 con clocked da 350 - 1100 MHz ed è realizzato con processo da 14 (migliorato rispetto alla Skylake). Rispetto al Core i7-7820HQ, il 7820HK non ha features business come supporto vPro o TXT.

Intel Coffee Lake:

i7-8850H:

Processore basato sull'architettura Coffee Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra sei processori con clock da 2,6 - 4,3 GHz (4,1 GHz con 4 core, 4 GHz con 6 core) che supportano l'HyperThreading. Prodotto con un processo migliorato di 14nm (14nm++).
