Difficile trovare di meglio sotto i 1000€ – anzi, considerando che si parte da circa 500€ per il modello base, è davvero impossibile trovare un competitor valido. Non è un prodotto perfetto, ma per essere una prima generazione risulta facile chiudere un occhio sui difetti. Lo consiglio a tutti, dallo studente universitario che vuole un prodotto capace in aula come a casa, al lavoratore che cerca un alleato in mobilità e in ufficio, ma anche a chi lo userebbe soltanto in maniera blanda per sostituire un PC fisso.

The way I see it, the only issue with purchasing one would be that the Swift 3 only comes in one configuration, so if you want, say 8GB of memory, you can’t buy a higher spec. Acer Swift 3 15 pollici è equilibrato e costruito nella maniera giusta. È una via di mezzo tra la qualità progettuale degli Ultrabook e la praticità dei portatili da ufficio. Gran parte del suo fascino dipende dal vetro edge-to-edge e dalle finiture a contrasto argento e nere, ma alla fine basta usarlo per capire che c'è dell'altro. Swift 3 gestisce bene temperature e silenziosità. Ha una struttura interna semplice anche da tenere aggiornata, e una componentistica superiore alla media con SSD NVMe, scheda wireless 2x2, e lettore di impronte digitali. Il suo display Full HD, ha luminosità e contrasto adeguati.

Il modello che ho provato io costa 999 euro di listino. Ma i modelli 2016, altrettanto validi (praticamente cambia solo il processore aggiornato) si trovano in rete a partire da 600 euro. Quello che più mi è piaciuto dello Swift 3 è l'equilibrio generale. Equilibrio tra prestazioni, costruzione, display, uso. Un PC "tuttofare" leggero, bello, completo e discretamente prestazionale. Insomma un pc perfetto per un uso generico casa-lavoro-università. Spero di provare presto anche la versione con scheda grafica integrata! Potrebbe davvero diventare il mio notebook Windows tuttofare!

Acer Swift 3 è consigliato e affidabile. Ha molta sostanza senza veri difetti. Nella fascia dei 500-950 euro è una delle soluzione da valutare quando si cerca un portatile comodo per tastiera, touchpad e porte, con autonomia per la giornata, con prestazioni adeguate al montaggio video così come all'uso Internet intenso. Rispetto ai migliori modelli della categoria ha un display meno pregiato (consigliata una calibrata) e un lettore di impronte digitali da conoscere per sfruttare bene. Ma sono prospettive che ci stanno visto il prezzo di vendita molto più basso degli Ultrabook con stessa piattaforma hardware. Una via di mezzo di qualità, consigliata nella versione i5/8/256 adesso in vendita a 750 euro. Per maggiori informazioni sui modelli italiani visitate acer.it.

Sadly, the special edition Acer Swift 3 falls short in truly representing Iron Man. While it does nail the look and feel of Tony Stark’s bad-ass form, it lacks the firepower and performance. The combination of AMD’s Ryzen mobile, along with a good design, and excellent specifications for the price, really do make the Acer Swift 3 an appealing proposition. We’ve never tested a laptop at this price point with a 512 GB SSD before, and the 8 GB of DDR4 is very welcome as well at this price. If you can get over the poor quality keyboard, there’s a lot of laptop for the dollar here, and the ability to actually run real games is a welcome change.

The Acer Swift 3 Ryzen variant is a worthy option for its price which offers the best in class build quality, a decent keyboard and a usable display. Thanks to Ryzen 2500U, performance is just as good as any other 8th gen Intel Core i5 variant and the offers a better graphics support over the integrated GPU available with Intel chips. In our opinion, the average battery is the only low point for this laptop, but there is little reason to complain considering the price.

The 15-inch Swift 3 SF315-52G is a mid-tier computer with a nicely designed and built chassis, a fast keyboard, a matte IPS screen, good performance and good battery life. The aggressive pricing remains however its main selling point and the reason why you'd accept its quirks, even if none are necessarily deal-breakers: the dim screen, the average speakers, Wi-Fi speed and IO. Acer: Nel 1976, l'azienda è stata fondata a Taiwan con il nome Multitech e nel 1987 è stata ribattezzata Acer o Acer Group. La gamma di prodotti comprende, ad esempio, laptop, tablet, smartphone, desktop, monitor, TV e periferiche per computer. Dal 2007, il gruppo si è fuso con Gateway Inc. e Packard Bell, che commercializzano anche le proprie linee di prodotti per laptop.

I computer Acer sono progettati per una varietà di scopi, inclusi ultrabook per uso mobile, laptop da gioco per giocatori, opzioni convenienti per le attività quotidiane e laptop convertibili 2 in 1 per la versatilità. Il portafoglio di prodotti Acer comprende anche tablet che offrono capacità informatiche portatili e multimediali.

Scheda grafica per laptop basata su Pascal GP108 e versione mobile della GeForce GT 1030. Offre 384 core shader e solitamente 2 GB GDDR5 con un bus di memoria a 64 bit. Realizzata in 14 nm.

AMD Vega 8:

AMD Vega 10:

AMD Radeon RX 540:

Scheda grafica di fascia media Polaris con 512 shaders (8 unità compute) e una velocità clock massima di 1,219 MHz (secondo AMD). Utilizza il nuovo chip Polaris 12 come la più veloce Radeon RX 550 (non verificato ma dovrebbe essere della stessa velocità) con un processo in 14nm FinFET leggermente migliorato.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:

GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.

Processore Skylake-based ULV dual-core per notebooks ed ultrabooks sottili. Offre una GPU HD Graphics 520 integrata ed è realizzato in 14 nm. La velocità clock massima è solo di 2 GHz ed il Turbo Boost non è supportato.

Intel Kaby Lake:

i7-7500U:

SoC Kaby-Lake based con due CPU cores con clock da at 2.7 a 3.5 GHz, HyperThreading e realizzato con un procedimento 14nm migliorato.

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:

i5-8250U:

Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato sul Kaby-Lake-Refresh. I quattro core hanno un clock tra 1,6 e 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock compreso tra 300 e 1.100 MHz. Il SoC è prodotto con un processo FinFET da 14 nm+.

i5-8550U:

Processore Kaby-Lake-Refresh basato su un processore quad-core low power. I quattro cores hanno un clock tra 1.8 e 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock tra 300 e 1,150 MHz. Il SoC è realizzato in 14nm+ FinFET.

i3-8130U:

SoC dual core basato sull'architettura Kaby-Lake con clock da 2,2 a 3,4 GHz con HyperThreading (4 thread) e una scheda grafica UHD Graphics 620 integrata con clock fino a 1 GHz.

AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):

R5 2500U:

APU mobile che integra quattro cores Zen con clock tra 2 e 3.6 GHz. Il TDP è configurabile tra 9 e 25 Watt (15 W nominali) e la Radeon RX Vega 8 integrata ha un clock fino a 1100 MHz.

R7 2700U:

APU mobile Quad-Core che usa cores Zen con clock tra 2.2 e 3.8 GHz e scheda grafica Vega con 10 CUs con clock fino a 1300 MHz.
