Con un processore Intel Core i5-8250U e un veloce SSD, l'Acer Swift 3 SF313 è ben equipaggiato per la maggior parte delle attività. Grazie al suo modem LTE, il subnotebook da 13,3 pollici è adatto anche come piccolo compagno di lavoro quando siete in giro. Acer non ha incluso una GPU dedicata, ma questa decisione va a vantaggio della durata della batteria.
Con un processore Intel Core i5-8250U e un veloce SSD, l'Acer Swift 3 SF313 è ben equipaggiato per la maggior parte delle attività. And this is if you get the appropriate version that includes 16GB, otherwise, you might get 8GB for the rest of this laptop’s life. Acer Swift 3 è un portatile concreto, particolarmente adatto al lavoro grazie al mai troppo blasonato rapporto di forma in 3:2. Proprio lo schermo, ad alta (ma giustamente non altissima) risoluzione e molto luminoso è uno dei suoi punti di forza, un po' meno tastiera e touchpad, senz'altro migliorabili in vari dettagli. Le prestazioni ci sono per fare tutto ciò che dovete, dal lavoro d'ufficio, allo studio, fino anche ad un po' di svago con titoli del calibro di Overwatch e affini. E per di più le temperature sono mediamente molto basse (anche troppo: si poteva spremerlo di più questo i7!), il che, soprattutto d'estate, non guasta mai. Attenzione all'autonomia: speravamo fosse da tutto il giorno senza pensieri, invece qualche accortezza dovrete averla se vorrete arrivare fino a sera senza passare dal caricabatterie (proprietario), ma la buona notizia è che potete sfruttare anche la Type-C per la ricarica.

Si trovano prodotti simili? Non tantissimi a dire il vero, o almeno non con display 3:2, e quelli che ci sono non costano meno. Se poi guardiamo a quello che è lo storico dei prezzi dei modelli della stessa serie negli anni passati, ecco che è lecito aspettarsi un assestamento a cifre molto interessanti in poco tempo, diciamo entro il prossimo back to school.

The biggest physical change from the previous model is a new hinge that's been adjusted to make way for a new speaker, which has surprisingly good sound. Thanks to the 300-nit display, with 100 percent sRGB coverage, and the good sound, the Swift 3 is great for watching movies. Blacks in the shadows are nice and deep, and colors appear richly saturated without being overly so. There is one thing I dislike about the Swift 3, which is the same thing I disliked about the last model—that same small, fragile-looking, non-USB, single pin charger. I say it's fragile, but my wife's Acer has the same pin, works fine, and is three years old, so it's probably nothing to worry about. And the Swift 3 can charge off the USB-C thunderbolt port, which makes it even stranger. USB-C chargers: They're the way of the future, Acer. Still, I think Acer's Swift 3 is one of the best deals on the market right now. For $1,000 you get a laptop that's powerful enough for most people, has phenomenal battery life, a good screen, and great sound. For most of us, that's more than enough.

Half of these apps don’t even share the Acer name, meaning that they’re scattered all over your Start menu like scraps of paper across a parking lot. Even the “User Experience Improve [sic] Program” doesn’t allow for any feedback, just an invitation to let Acer look over your shoulder. It all needs to be fixed.

It’s rare to find a laptop that I really enjoyed using, but whose performance is so disappointing. Let’s tally up the positives: a top-notch keyboard, premium Thunderbolt I/O, a crisp, lovely 2K screen, excellent battery life. On the opposing side of the ledger, the Swift 3’s performance is middling to poor, its audio so-so, and the software experience is lacking as well.
