DTR economico.L'Aspire E5-774 funziona in modo molto silenzioso, scalda poco, offre opzioni per l'upgrade semplici, schermo FHD e buona autonomia della batteria. Il prezzo è relativamente basso, 550 Euro (~$583), ma il laptop non è dotato di SO Windows.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 1000 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

Il processore Core i5 della generazione Kaby Lake offre potenza sufficiente per i compiti quotidiani e il chip grafico integrato è in grado di eseguire molti giochi (con requisiti modesti). Raccomandiamo l'installazione di un secondo modulo di RAM per migliorare le prestazioni grafiche e di sistema. Il laptop è silenzioso e si scalda appena. Lo spazio di archiviazione di 500 GB è abbastanza buono, ma raccomandiamo di installare un SSD M.2 nello slot libero. Grazie allo sportello per la manutenzione, l'utente potrà svolgere questa operazione senza grossi problemi. La tastiera è molto buona e l'autonomia della batteria è interessante per un modello da 17.3 pollici. Il pannello FHD, con finitura opaca, ha un ottimo contrasto, ma soffre di scarsi angoli di visualizzazionie, a causa della tecnologia TN. Questo è però uno dei migliori pannelli TN disponibili, quindi è dotato di angoli comunque più ampi rispetto ai normali pannelli TN. Sfortunatamente, non è in grado di competer con un pannello IPS.

L'Aspire E5-774 è un notebook ben progettato per le appolicazioni di home office. 

Se si gradisce questo laptop, ma si desiderano migliori prestazioni grafiche, consigliamo di dare un'occhiata all'Aspire E5-774G. L'E5-774G offre una GPU GeForce 940MX dedicata con memoria GDDR5. Questa combinazione produce frame rate più elevati del 20-30% rispetto a un notebook con GeForce 940MX e memoria GDDR3.
