This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Con il VivoBook Flip 15, Asus realizza un portatile convertibile da 15,6". Il processore Core i5 dovrebbe bastare per la maggioranza degli utenti. La scheda grafica dedicata GeForce consente il gaming fino ad un certo punto. Asus avrebbe dovuto sostituirla con una GPU più potente, come la GeForce MX150, che offre un evidente incremento di performance ed avrebbe reso il dispositivo molto più interessante.

Nel complesso, Asus offre un convertibile da 15,6" bilanciato che dovrebbe risultare attraente per molte persone con piccole modifiche dell'hardware.

Un veloce SSD consente di avere un sistema scattante e fluido. E' possibile sostituire l'SSD, ma bisogna aprire il case per fare questa operazione. Asus non ha previsto una cover per la manutenzione. La tastiera è adeguata all'utilizzo domestico, ma manca la retroilluminazione, il che dovrebbe essere presente in un dispositivo che costa 800 Euro (~$952). L'autonomia della batteria raggiunta con il nostro test Wi-Fi è stata buona ed alla pari con quello che ci si aspetta da un dispositivo da 15,6".

Il touchscreen IPS offre un buon contrasto, angoli di visuale stabili e luminosità accettabile, ma a fatica. Non abbiamo riscontrato problemi con il touchscreen. Il supporto per la penna non è presente in questo convertibile, nemmeno per l'Asus Pen (una active stylus Asus; circa 50 Euro, ~$59).
