The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i, or Slim Pro 9i as it's known in the US, is one of the best slim and light laptops of 2023 for power users. Boasting a 13th Gen Intel processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU and PureSight Pro display, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is beefy enough for video editing and gaming. Yet this 14 or 16-inch notebook is also impressively portable, making it an ideal alternative to Apple's Macbook Pro. Gamers and creators will love the Intel 13th Gen power, backed by an RTX 4000-series GPU so editing and online deathmatching are silky smooth. The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i remains impressively quiet despite the next-gen performance, while that slender chassis is easy to slip inside a backpack. You get a 3k display on this 14-inch model, upgraded to 3.2k in the 16-incher. The Yoga Pro 9i also serves up some beefy speakers, a well designed keyboard, privacy webcam and loads of great features.

Lenovo over here putting the 'Pro' back in 'Professional'. And huge thanks to Lenovo for sponsoring this video and sending over the laptop. With a dedicated Nvidia 4070 GPU and a blistering Intel Core i9 processor, this laptop is basically good at everything from homework to eating chicken dinners. Look I don't know what the kids are doing on laptops these days - I just know its a really really powerful machine.

There’s a price that looks reasonable for the performance, but a caveat is required here until we receive full pricing details. You’ll be able to customise your build to either fit mid-tier creative and gaming needs up to something that will accommodate professional creators on the go and higher-end gaming. The full package is backed up by a keyboard that offers a good first impression and a wondrous display. It’s not the most portable device and other features that I didn’t have the opportunity to test out, like the speakers and webcam, will also play a part in determining if this is up there with the best of them.

Con Yoga Pro 9i Lenovo non ha solo preso quanto di meglio Intel abbia da offrire con la sua tredicesima generazione, ma l'ha inserito in un contesto dove tutto lavora all'unisono per un solo scopo: le performance. Prestazioni affidabili, sempre e comunque, e portate al massimo, anche a costo di overcloccare il sistema. Ma non basta, perché Yoga Pro 9i non ha trascurato nulla: dal display touch ad alta risoluzione, alla comoda tastiera, passando per un audio di qualità. Che dobbiate lavorare intensamente, o anche giocare (perché no!), è difficile trovare dei concorrenti con Windows che offrano un pacchetto così completo e soddisfacente.

EN→ITIs the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i better than the MacBook Pro? Tough question. The Lenovo has a faster screen with a touch interface, an Nvidia GPU that makes it better suited to gaming and, in my view, a superior keyboard. The Apple laptop counters with far longer battery life, better HDR performance (but that’s a MacOS vs Windows issue) and better connectivity. Like-for-like, the MacBook Pro is considerably more expensive. My review system has the Mini LED display, Core i9 CPU and RTX 4070 graphics, but I can’t find that exact model on sale in the UK. The otherwise identical RTX 4060 model is, however, readily available for £2,299, and since the performance drop-off between the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 is not that dramatic, I’ve based my value-for-money conclusions on that. What can be said though is that the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 is one of the very best MacBook Pro rivals yet, topping the HP Omen Transcend 16 and Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra in terms of graphical and audio performance, even if it similarly falls foul in battery life.

Il portatile rimane comunque sufficientemente compatto, leggero e pratico per un utilizzo in mobilità. Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU:
Scheda grafica di fascia media per portatili basata sull'architettura Ada Lovelace. Offre 6 GB GDDR6 (96 Bit) ed è configurabile con un TGP di 35 - 115 W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).

Intel Raptor Lake-H:
i7-13705H: Su una CPU mobile basata su Alder-Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock fino a 5 GHz. Rispetto all'i9-13900HK non è supportato un facile overclocking.
i9-13905H: Su una CPU mobile basata su Alder-Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock fino a 5,4 GHz. Simile all'i9-13900H ma senza supporto vPro e il 13905H utilizza un pacchetto e un socket diversi.
Intel Meteor Lake-H:
Ultra 9 185H: Un chip Meteor Lake top di gamma che ha debuttato nel dicembre 2023. Questo processore Core Ultra di 1a generazione è arrivato a sostituire i chip Core di 13a generazione; ha 16 core (6 + 8 + 2) e 22 thread a disposizione. I core Performance, che sono 6, funzionano fino a 5,1 GHz, mentre i core Efficient, che sono 10 (8 core principali più 2 extra che si trovano nella Low Power Island), funzionano fino a 3,8 GHz. La GPU Arc a 8 core, appena sfornata, funge da adattatore grafico integrato - funziona fino a 2,35 GHz - e c'è anche una serie di altre nuovissime tecnologie in offerta, come la NPU AI Boost integrata con due motori Gen 3 per l'accelerazione hardware dei carichi di lavoro AI. Il consumo energetico 'base' di questo processore portatile è di 45 W, mentre il consumo energetico Turbo non dovrebbe superare i 115 W.
