EN→ITThe Lenovo Legion 5, with everything that it offers and how it performs, feels like an easy recommendation to make for a first-time gaming laptop buyer. It has all the bells and whistles found in a 2021 gaming laptop, and it sweetens the deal with an excellent display, a great keyboard, and top-notch cooling. It’s also quite future-proof with upgradeable RAM and storage slots, and a vast array of I/O options makes it easy to pair it with a larger display and more storage and accessories. However, the core hardware, especially the discrete GPU, is what keeps this variant of the Legion 5 from impressing the hardcore gamers. The RTX 3050 Ti feels like an unfortunate bottleneck amidst a powerful Ryzen 7 CPU and 165Hz display. None of the latest games can take full advantage of it and output 160 FPS. So if that’s a concern, it’s better to spend a little more and get one of the higher variants with RTX 3060 or RTX 3070. Well, if you can’t spend more, then honestly, for the price, it’s hard to go wrong with this laptop. Although the RTX 3050 Ti GPU bottlenecks the performance of the powerful Ryzen 7 5800H processor, this is probably the most powerful CPU & GPU combo you’ll find in a gaming laptop at this price range. In addition to that, we also don’t often see a budget gaming laptop with such a great display. The 165Hz refresh rate makes it a class apart, and good color accuracy acts like a cherry on top for this gaming notebook. Overall, we think the Lenovo Legion 5 is a complete package, and therefore it is our most recommended gaming laptop under $1000 right now.

EN→ITI have checked everywhere, by far, this is the most reasonably-priced 15-inch gaming laptop I have found. Other laptops with better specs cost a lot higher. We also cannot guarantee until when they keep the price in this range, I notice pricing can be absolutely mad. For example, our guy here with its newest specs, higher GPU, newest CPU, is sold a few bucks less than last year’s model with the older CPU and Graphics. Insane! Our device here also has all of the power of a gaming machine while still looking like a laptop for professionals. It does not look gaudy like most of those gaming notebooks. So if you want to have a new up-to-date laptop that works great, looks great, consider this one. The other nice features are a bonus, this Lenovo Legion 5 Ryzen 7 82JW0012US has it all.

At £999, the Ryzen 7 model we’ve tested here is great value, while the Ryzen 5 machine at £799 is an absolute steal. With the same GPU and vRAM, gaming performance will be very similar. Both those prices are listed as “£200 off”, but even with that added back on both models are still good value. If I had to sum up these AMD Advantage laptops in one word it would be “balanced”. They deliver reliable 1080p gaming even with demanding titles and have no significant weak spots. Most importantly, they trounce the RTX 3050-equipped competition, and that alone makes them our budget gaming laptop Best Buy award winners.

EN→ITIf you're a fan of AMD gear and want to make the most of its CPUs and GPUs working together, then the Advantage Edition of the Lenovo Legion 5 is going to stand out to you (without looking all too 'gamer' overall). At the time of writing you can pick up this review model for around £1,000 or $1,250. That's not bad at all for a gaming laptop that's capable of coping with the most demanding games out there. However, said gaming performance isn't going to break any records, while just about everything else – the screen, the speakers, the keyboard and trackpad experience – are perfectly fine but not a lot more than that. We'd say the Lenovo Legion 5 Advantage Edition gives you more bang for your buck than a lot of gaming laptops, and value for money is a high priority for most of us.

EN→ITStill, I think that mysterious performance dips in regular use -- probably the laptop throttles down to save battery -- and average battery life during gaming stops me from recommending the Legion 5i wholeheartedly. I like this laptop but I like it with caveats. So, here is my recommendation. Do consider the Legion 5i but only if you do not mind keeping it plugged in during your gaming stints, and the random hiccups it may throw at you. There are no perfect gaming laptops in this price range. The Legion 5i too is not perfect. But it is mighty good and gets the job done.

EN→ITDespite the fact that the Legion 5 15IAH7H is a really good laptop, it also has some drawbacks. First of all, I would like the cooling to be more efficient. The laptop cools down on a table without any problems, but the cooling system needs to put a lot of effort into it, which creates a lot of noise. A cooling stand can help, but it would be better if the laptop could do a better job of it on its own. There’s also a lack of an SD card reader that could replace one or two USB connectors. On the other hand, the tested laptop is one of the most powerful among competitors in its price category, and therefore is the best option for gamers with a well-defined budget. Like the previous models in the Legion line, the Lenovo Legion 5 15IAH7H is a powerful laptop with an interesting design and the performance you need for gaming.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.

Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

Scheda grafica mobile di fascia media basata sull'architettura Navi. Offre 1792 core (28 CU) a un TDP di 90 - 135 Watt. Utilizza il chip Navi 23 basato sull'architettura RDNA 2 e può essere configurato dal produttore del portatile da 50 - 100 Watt TDP.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU:
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).
