Arrivati alla fine, vivo V70 e realme 16 Pro+ escono entrambi molto bene da questo confronto. Non sono due smartphone identici e non provano nemmeno a esserlo. Si rivolgono a utenti simili per fascia di prezzo, ma offrono due esperienze diverse. vivo V70 è la scelta più indicata per chi cerca uno smartphone elegante, sottile e orientato alla fotografia. Il lavoro con ZEISS dà valore ai ritratti, ai selfie, ai video e alla resa generale degli scatti. Inoltre, il display piatto, il corpo ben bilanciato e la batteria da 6.500 mAh lo rendono piacevole da usare ogni giorno. È il telefono da scegliere se si fotografano spesso persone, animali, dettagli, viaggi e momenti quotidiani. Non punta tutto sull’effetto immediato, ma su una resa più curata. La camera principale da 200 MP scatta bene, il tele 3,5x da 50 MP amplia la versatilità e realme UI 7.0 risulta matura, ricca e ben strutturata. È lo smartphone più adatto a chi usa tanto il telefono durante la giornata.

Dopo diversi giorni di prova, vivo V70 conferma bene la filosofia della serie V. È uno smartphone di fascia medio-alta che mette davanti fotografia, design e qualità d’uso, e lo fa con un’identità precisa. Non prova a inseguire ogni moda del momento e non cerca di vincere solo con la scheda tecnica. Preferisce essere un prodotto più rifinito, più maturo e più piacevole da usare ogni giorno. Ed è proprio questo che ci è piaciuto. Il passo avanti più evidente si vede nel design. Il nuovo approccio con display flat, frame piatto in alluminio, linee più moderne e corpo sottile rende vivo V70 più riuscito rispetto al passato. In mano è bello, curato, maneggevole e trasmette una qualità percepita alta. Non è un compatto in senso stretto, ma si usa bene, si impugna facilmente e ha quella presenza da prodotto fatto con attenzione che in questa fascia non è scontata. Molto bene anche l’autonomia, che per noi è uno dei suoi punti forti. La batteria al silicio-carbonio da 6.500 mAh funziona davvero bene nell’uso reale e rende il telefono affidabile anche nelle giornate più lunghe. Il nostro test dalle 7.00 alle 21.00, chiuso con quasi il 50% residuo, dice già tutto. È uno di quei telefoni che si usano con serenità, senza dover pensare troppo alla ricarica.

Non è il classico smartphone che punta tutto su un singolo numero, ma è un prodotto che funziona bene in ogni ambito. Ed è proprio questo il suo punto di forza: essere completo, senza compromessi evidenti, e adatto a un utilizzo quotidiano senza pensieri.

Insomma, il Vivo V70 è uno smartphone di fascia media molto completo. Le rinunce sono quelle tipiche di prodotti simili: la Type-C senza uscita video e l'assenza della ricarica wireless. Si tratta comunque di mancanze che incidono relativamente poco nell'uso reale: l'uscita video non è una priorità su dispositivi di questo tipo, anche perché manca una vera interfaccia desktop, e lo stesso vale per il trasferimento rapido via cavo. Con Blip, ad esempio, si raggiungono fino a 200 Mbps di trasferimento verso un MacBook in wireless. La ricarica wireless può sempre far comodo, ma con due o tre giorni di autonomia è un compromesso che si accetta senza particolari problemi, soprattutto considerando che la ricarica via cavo permette di portare 6500mAh al 100% in meno di un'ora. Il Vivo V70 offre un ottimo display AMOLED, finalmente in dimensioni più contenute. Il comparto fotografico fa un passo avanti, portando su questo modello le stesse soluzioni del più costoso Vivo X200 FE: un compromesso si avverte solo sulla ultra-grandangolare, che risulta ridimensionata. Le prestazioni crescono leggermente, ma il vero miglioramento si vede nelle memorie, ora decisamente più rapide.

The Vivo V70 is a solid mid-ranger phone, offering a decent array of specs for the price you pay. It’s also housed in an attractive looking phone, which is not always true of models at this price point, so it’s a good bonus, too. The biggest problem with the V70 is probably its lack of availability in all markets – you won’t find it in the US or the UK for example. Perhaps that will change in the future, but for those that can get hold of it, it’s a good buy. Image quality overall is pretty good, but there are some caveats to be aware of. Portrait mode isn’t the best out there, while the ultrawide lens leaves a lot to be desired. That said, it’s unusual to have a telephoto lens on a cheap phone – especially one which produces good results so that’s a big plus point for this phone. All in all, for a $450 phone, the V70 performs very well and I’d recommend it to anybody with a fairly low budget.

Both are real trade-offs rather than dealbreakers, though, and the vivo V70 earns its place as a phone that’s genuinely hard to fault for what it costs, especially if portrait photography, concert shooting, and long battery life are what matter most to you.

Of the Vivo V-series phones I've tested, the V70 is the most refined to date. Yes, it heavily borrows some design cues from other phones, but I think it looks stylish, has a wealth of color options, and it feels more premium than its price tag. The spec sheet might also be a little disappointing to anyone considering this over the V60, but it has a noticeable bump in screen resolution, and still offers excellent battery life and decent long-term software support. For photographers, this is a serious mid-range option. The Zeiss-tuned camera system is very good, the telephoto a particular standout and genuinely impressive for this class, but the overall shooting experience is consistent and enjoyable.
