We like the idea of a workstation laptop with a high-resolution screen: more pixels means more desktop real estate, which means more windows and applications open at the same time, and the ability to work with images and videos in finer detail. Toshiba’s panel has the highest resolution we’ve seen on a laptop of this size, and it’s got exceptional accuracy, contrast, brightness and black point figures that sneak ahead of the Dell as its also-excellent screen. But it also suffers from the same scaling issues as every other high-resolution Windows notebook. Some applications are blurry or pixelated, others can’t be seen without squinting, and it makes for an irritating experience. Until third-parties fix these issues, we’d still prefer to work on a 1080p panel.

Probably not, but it's not completely out of the ballpark. The Toshiba P50-C can easily challenge most of the notebooks at this price range with its robust construction and sleek aluminum design. It’s also light and thin so travelers – note that. We also liked the keyboard and touchpad, but we are baffled by the lack of LED keyboard backlight. You will actually be pretty surprised by how few notebooks don’t have LED backlight at the upper-mid-range and we are disappointed by the Satellite P50 not having one. Also, the port placement and the main exhaust vent are a sign of impractical design due to the extra heat generated by the GTX 950M that blows into the user’s arm during heavy load. The port placement will obstruct normal usage with an external mouse if you connect more devices into the USB port and an external monitor via the HDMI.

The Satellite P50t has high-end touches on a midrange model, such as UHD IGZO screen and nVidia gaming graphics, plus some metal machining to suggest premium build. Last time the Toshiba Satellite P50-C had problems with the bottlenecking processor, but, this time around, the laptop features high-performance, quad-core, high-voltage Core i7-6700HQ that’s running the show pretty smoothly. Again paired with GeForce GTX 950M GPU and 8GB of RAM, the system offers fairly good performance (good for gaming) packed inside a semi-aluminum body with thin profile (22.5 mm) and low weight (2.07 kg). It even rocks relatively robust construction, comfortable keyboard (lacking LED backlight, though) and a good touchpad. It’s a really good choice for a daily driver and it’s good enough for carrying it around.

I prodotti e i servizi dell'azienda includono energia, sistemi di infrastrutture industriali e sociali, ascensori e scale mobili, componenti elettronici, semiconduttori, dischi rigidi, stampanti, batterie, illuminazione, logistica e tecnologia dell'informazione. Toshiba è stato uno dei maggiori produttori di personal computer, elettronica di consumo, elettrodomestici e apparecchiature mediche.

Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M: Scheda grafica di fascia media della serie GeForce GT 700M. Basata sull'architettura Kepler e realizzata da TSMC con processo in 28nm.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M:

AMD Radeon R9 M265X:

GPU mobile di fascia media basata sull'architettura GCN con memoria GDDR5.

NVIDIA GeForce 930M:

Scheda grafica di fascia medio bassa Maxwell. La scheda si basa sulla GeForce 840M con 384 shaders ma velocità core clock ridotta.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M:

Scheda grafica di fascia media della serie GeForce GTX 900M, basata sull'architettura Maxwell.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

Intel HD Graphics 4000: Processore grafico high end tra i modelli Ivy Bridge. Offre una differente velocità clock nei diversi modelli di CPU (da ULV a desktop quad core) e di conseguenza con prestazioni variabili.

Intel HD Graphics 4600:

Scheda grafica integrata nel processore che si trova su vari modelli di CPU Haswell. Offre diverse velocità clock in base alla CPU.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: 3 imminenti (Q1 2011) schede grafiche integrate nel processore Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). La 3000 / 200 è la versione più veloce internamente chiamata GT2 con 12 Execution Units (EUs).
