Recensione breve del notebook Acer TravelMate P2510 (i5-7200U, 256 GB SSD, IPS)

Il fratello minore. Con il nuovo e relativamente economico TravelMate, ACER introduce un tipico notebook da ufficio da 15 pollici acquistabile per circa 400 € (~$496) con specifiche non eccezionali e Linux. Se si considera il prezzo, non c'è molto di cui lamentarsi, se solo il produttore non avesse saltato il controllo qualità della nostra unità di test!

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Che i problemi con il case siano riscontrabili esclusivamente con la nostra unità, dobbiamo comunque effettuare la valutazione con ciò che abbiamo a disposizione. Per questo la valutazione relativa è piuttosto bassa.

Case a parte e considerando il prezzo del modello entry-level, i risultati hanno dato un'impressione piuttosto positiva. Gli utenti con budget ristretto sicuramente perdoneranno le mancanze del display e la lentezza del lettore di card. I vantaggi sono i buoni dispositivi di imput, il veloce modulo WLAN, TMP e la buona autonomia della batteria, oltre ad altre cose meno importanti. Da un punto di vista tecnico, tutto funziona bene e il TravelMate offre prestazioni costanti senza scaldare e fare rumore.

Con il TravelMate P2510-M-51ZQ, Acer presenta un notebook da ufficio con buon rapporto prezzo-prestazioni, anche se non ci sentiamo di raccomandarne l'acquisto per gli evidenti problemi con il case della nostra unità di base.
