The OnePlus Pad is a lovely slim and slender tablet that has something a little bit different in terms of design compared to other Android tablets. It delivers a premium build quality and there's some great features on board, while the keyboard on the folio case is great to type on from what we could tell so far. We will bring you are full review of the OnePlus Pad over the next couple of months, but for now, we’re impressed by this lovely slab.

The OnePlus Pad seems like a winner – but it all hinges on how much it costs. It won’t win any awards for the design, but there’s plenty to recommend, especially the display and battery life. We’re looking forward to being able to give a full verdict in our final OnePlus Pad review in due course.

The OnePlus Pad is doing some unusual things with the tablet form factor, which appeal because of their novelty at the very least. The squarer shape and other unusual design flourishes have quickly established the identity of OnePlus' tablet line, while a responsive stylus and a useful keyboard cover, promising performance, battery life and charging speeds and other bells and whistles help mark it out as different from Apple and Samsung slades down to its silicon bones. All OnePlus needs is an attractive price to start stealing sales from Samsung's Galaxy Tabs, and maybe even convert the odd iPad user who find Apple's slates just aren't for them. We'll save our final judgement on whether it's managed that for April.

If OnePlus can launch its tablet at a competition-busting price and with the keyboard and stylus bundled in then it’s hard to imagine this not being an appealing buy to students and folks in the market for a portable productivity tab. Only time will tell if this rings true, so be sure to watch out for our full review of the OnePlus Pad in the near future.

This week we saw several big launches including the OnePlus Pad (an actual Android tablet for 2023), the Poco X5 and X5 Pro and a slew of Intel 13th Gen laptops. Uncle Spurt tried to cover as much as possible but here's a recap of everything that went on if you missed his videos on Tech Spurt. Now go back and watch them right through, you naughty children. The OnePlus Pad was heavily hinted at before the launch, and while a UK price and release date still isn't known, we do now have full specs. This Android tablet sports a spacious 144Hz screen, Dimensity 9000 performance and 66W battery charging. Expect a hands-on review with the OnePlus Pad from MWC 2023. And maybe with the Keyboard, which was also a thing they showed off. OnePlus also launched its latest flagship, but that's wasn't the only phone of the week. The Poco X5 Pro 5G also popped up with a boost to performance over last year's model. We also saw the Realme 10 Pro emerge again in a Coca Cola Limited Edition. No, really. The OnePlus Pad could be an interesting addition to the premium Android tablet market. Its specs seem solid, the accessories look interesting, and you should be able to take advantage of special features if you use other OnePlus products. We'll know for sure if this ecosystem push can indeed work according to plan once we get our hands on the OnePlus Pad to review it thoroughly. Until then, don't forget to check out all our reviews of the OnePlus 11 5G and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, and our first impressions of the OnePlus 11R 5G.
