Per meno di 900 euro (779 dollari), il Nubia Z70S Ultra offre una proposta forte con molte caratteristiche di fascia alta, un display quasi privo di cornici e una buona configurazione della fotocamera. Il design retrò ha il suo fascino, insieme al vantaggio di un sensore della fotocamera più grande e di una batteria più capiente.
Per meno di 900 euro (779 dollari), il Nubia Z70S Ultra offre una proposta forte con molte caratteristiche di fascia alta, un display quasi privo di cornici e una buona configurazione della fotocamera. Il prezzo della versione 12/256GB che ho ricevuto da AliExpress (spedito dall'Europa) è di 650 euro e sicuramente lo prenderei qui visto che costa 869 euro sul sito ufficiale e 999 euro su Amazon. In conclusione display bellissimo senza fori, ottime foto, ottima autonomia e bel software, l'unico punto di domanda rimane l'assistenza in Italia ma lui è davvero interessante ed entrerà in cantinetta!

Ecco allora che compaiono i DRM Widevine L1, per una visione di Netflix in Full HD. La tripla fotocamera posteriore è in grado di effettuare buoni scatti di giorno, lo Snapdragon 8 Elite non delude e l'ottimo display AMOLED a 144Hz è al suo posto. La fotocamera anteriore rimane invece immancabilmente il punto dolente della proposta fotografica, nonostante le migliorie software apportate, così come permangono le questioni relative al numero di funzioni IA limitato e all'assenza dell'eSIM.

The Nubia Z70S Ultra is another highly capable, well-specced-out phone at an upper-mid-range price. However, I’m at a loss to explain the reason for its existence. In a blog post on the difference between its two most recent flagship phones, even Nubia struggles to make a case for the Z70S Ultra, vaguely referring to it as a “premium tactile experience” and “a conversation starter”. In the other camp, the Z70 Ultra offers “the best of modern smartphone tech: display, performance, camera versatility, and all-day power”. That last line highlights the problem, as the Z70S Ultra has the exact same display and processor and an even bigger battery. Aside from some tweaks to the camera – which still struggles with consistency and a terrible selfie cam – that’s it for upgrades. If the brand itself can’t put up a convincing argument for the Nubia Z70S Ultra’s existence, I’m not sure I can. All I can say is that this is a good phone at a good price, but one that arguably didn’t need to exist.

The Z70S Ultra is another instance of the cameraphone wannabe that actually delivers a less than stellar camearphone experience. It's got a very interesting trio of cameras, but goes about zoom levels in an illogical way, and has missteps in video quality and at night. The selfies are also more of a compromise than we'd like. The selfies are relatively easy to dismiss as a non-issue, largely thanks to the unobstructed view of the display that this particular type of camera provides. The headlining new 35mm camera is also free from major flaws and the telephoto is pretty great itself, once you get accustomed to using it at its native focal length, so there's some cameraphone potential hidden in there after all. The additional controls can enhance the experience too.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Unità grafica integrata nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite per smartphone con tre fette da 1,1 GHz ciascuna. Cache condivisa integrata da 12 MB per le tre fette. Secondo Qualcomm, è più veloce del 40% rispetto alla generazione precedente (Adreno 750).
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
