But it’s not flawless, of course. The display lacks colour vibrancy, and I’m not entirely comfortable with its low brightness levels. Then there’s the chassis – while solidly built, it doesn’t quite carry the same visual polish or refinement as some of its competitors. That said, the Omnibook X 14’s battery life is excellent, and that alone is a major selling point if you're often working on the go.

95% HP OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 review: One of my top 3 laptops of 2025

I really do not know why the HP OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 design hit me as it did. There is this subtle line on the bottom that sort of curves out and makes this laptop look really nice. The color of the laptop is also stunning, and while it does grab some fingerprints, it’s not as bad as some other laptops. It’s also lightweight for a 16″ laptop. The 3K OLED display on this unit is vibrant and punchy, with deep blacks, crisp whites, and an excellent brightness level. The Intel 258V paired with 32 GB of RAM is excellent and handles my video editing and photo editing with ease. The fans rarely kicked in on this unless I was rendering something heavy in 4K. The speakers are just okay; the soundstage is decent, but they do lack a bottom end. They do get the job done though. Battery life is outstanding, as expected with this 258V under the hood.

I really do not know why the HP OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 design hit me as it did. There is this subtle line on the bottom that sort of curves out and makes this laptop look really nice. The HP OmniBook X Flip 16 is a bit hit and a bit miss, almost in equal measure. On the one hand, it feels well built and has a nice, albeit plain look to it. It has a big, gorgeous display as well. But it also makes confusing choices like having huge grilles that do almost nothing. Its keyboard prioritizes form over function. And a 16-inch tablet over four pounds probably won’t be practical for most people, especially without reliable palm rejection. Then there’s the performance. It simply doesn’t take full advantage of the hardware, in many cases getting outperformed by lower-tier hardware. Perhaps it would have worked better had HP used all of its grilles to get more airflow and heat dissipation. But it didn’t. And in spite of that, the OmniBook X Flip 16 is on the expensive side.

HP: Fondata nel 1939, l'azienda statunitense è un importante produttore di server e stampanti e una delle aziende IT leader a livello mondiale. Fino al 2015, la società si chiamava Hewlett-Packard Company. Dopo una scissione, la divisione computer è stata ribattezzata HP Inc.

Nel 2023, HP deteneva una quota di mercato approssimativa del 22% delle vendite globali di PC, diventando così il numero 2 dopo Lenovo.

Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 3.8 TFLOPS: Un adattatore grafico integrato di cui sono dotati diversi processori Snapdragon X Elite e X Plus. L'Adreno non supporta i monitor SUHD 4320p e, per quanto riguarda le prestazioni, non è molto più veloce della vecchia iGPU Intel Iris Xe da 96 UE.

Intel Arc 140V: Un adattatore grafico integrato piuttosto veloce che, secondo quanto riferito, alcuni processori Intel Lunar Lake impiegano. Il 140V ha 8 core di architettura Xe² che funzionano fino a 2.050 MHz e 8 unità di ray tracing; è abilitato a DirectX 12 Ultimate e supporta anche tutti i codec video moderni. Se le recenti fughe di notizie sui punteggi dei benchmark sono indicative, le sue prestazioni di gioco saranno leggermente migliori di quelle di GeForce MX570.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X:

SD X Elite X1E-78-100: Un system-on-a-chip con architettura ARM da utilizzare nei computer portatili Windows. X1E-78-100 è il membro più lento della famiglia di prodotti Snapdragon X Elite, a partire da maggio 2024; come tale, ha 12 core di CPU Oryon (8 core P e 4 core E) che funzionano a non più di 3,4 GHz e una GPU Adreno da 3,8 TFLOPS. Core Ultra 7 258V: Un processore di fascia media superiore della famiglia Lunar Lake.
