E’ un modello versatile, leggero e molto compatto, caratteristiche che lo rendono un ottimo compagno di viaggio; le ottime plastiche utilizzate, conferiscono robustezza, il design raffinato ed elegante lo rendono adatto anche a un’utenza professionale.

At a price of Rs. 17,999 (MOP) or 19,999 (MRP) the Aspire One D260 feels overpriced. In terms of performance, there’s nothing that this netbook does which the Toshiba NB520 cannot do better. Agreed that 3G compatibility is a neat feature, but for now 3G in India is not at its full-fledged best. Although a dongle for 3G is not very convenient to use, you can still go for the ASUS 1015PEM or the Toshiba NB520 which have USB ports for 3G connectivity through a dongle.

This is another small Netbook. Here with Windows 7 Starter edition and Office 2010 Starter. So although everything is ‘basic’ it does mean that you are still using the program and tools that almost any modern business does. The Acer Aspire One D260 measures 25.5x18x2.5cm and weights only 1200grams. The visible screen is 22x12.5cm giving the diagonal 10.1inch measurement.

The Acer Aspire AOD260 costs Rs. 18,000 + taxes. That is quite a fair price, as Netbooks with configurations like this one cost around Rs. 15,000, plus a Tata Photon+ dongle would cost you about Rs. 2,000. The AOD260 is a pretty decent buy if you're looking for a typical Netbook that'll save you the trouble of carrying a USB 3G dongle every time. Another way of looking at it is this - a built-in 3G modem means you cannot enable any other PC with its wireless broadband internet (unless you make this netbook behave like a Wi-fi router using apps like Connectify). But then keep your expectations very modest with this one, as the combination of 1GB RAM, single-core Atom processor and Windows 7 Starter cannot take too much load. Its identical cousin without the 3G powers, the Gateway LT23, costs Rs. 22,700 + taxes. Although the 2GB RAM and 320GB hard drive sounds like a bargain, we think it's somewhat a sore one when you compare it to the HP Mini 210, which has all of that, plus a faster 1.86 GHz Intel Atom processor, not to mention a much better designed keyboard. Only if you don't mind its slightly heavy body weight.

La sua gamma di prodotti include desktops e laptops, così come personal digital assistants (PDAs), servers e supporti di archiviazione, displays, periferiche, servizi e-business per affari, government, istruzione, ed utenti privati. Acer è il terzo produttore di computer a livello mondiale (per vendite) dopo HP e Dell Inc. L'azienda controlla la più grande catena di punti vendita di computer in franchising a Taipei, Taiwan. Chiamata in origine Multitech, è stata fondata nel 1976. Gateway e Packard Bell sono economicamente collegate con Acer. Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Scheda grafica integrata (memoria condivisa) nell'Intel Atom N4xx CPUs. Minimamente più veloce rispetto ad una vecchia GMA 950 e pertanto non adatta ai giochi 3D o ai video HD (solo accelerazione MPEG2).

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950: Il nuovo core di grafica Intel® GMA 950 è un motore grafico intelligente e dai tempi di risposta rapidi integrato nel chipset presente sulla scheda madre. Non propriamente adatta per giocare.

Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Intel Atom:

La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).

N450: CPU Intel Atom per Netbooks con controller di memoria integrato e GPU GMA 3150. LE prestazioni del sistema dovrebbero essere solo minimamente superiori rispetto alla precedente combinazione Atom N280 / GMA 950.

Z540: Processore Atom a risparmio energetico (più efficiente rispetto alla serie N) da 1.83 GHz e di conseguenza un po' più veloce rispetto ai soliti Atoms da 1.6 GHz.

N550: Dual core Atom con un TDP di appena 8.5 Watt. A causa della limitata velocità clock da 1.5 GHz potrebbe essere anche più lento di una CPU Atom N465.

10.1: Il netbook/subnotebook ha un formato di display abbastanza piccolo. Tuttavia di tratta di un formato comune per i netbooks. Lo svantaggio è che la lettura di testi è estenuante per gli occhi. Risoluzioni elevate difficilmente potranno essere utilizzate.

Questo subnotebook è uno dei più leggeri di tutti i portatili e può essere trasportato con estrema semplicità. Difficilmente si trovano altri modelli in questa fascia di peso.
 7-9 pollici sono la norma per questa categoria di peso. 

1.4 kg:

69.94%: Questo punteggio è negativo. La maggior parte dei portatili hanno fatto di meglio. Se ne sconsiglia l'acquisto.
