Compagno Business Entry-level. Questo 14" Acer ha molto da offrire: semplici opzioni per upgrade, buona autonomia, SSD veloce e tastiera affidabile. Lo schermo è l'unico punto debole del pacchetto: un pannello TN con angoli di visuale scarsi.

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

I tempi di risposta del display mostrano quanto sia veloce lo schermo a cambaire da un colore all'altro. Tempi di risposta lenti poccono creare sovrapposizioni negloi oggetti in movimento. Specialmente i giocatori patiti del 3D dovrebbero usare uno schermo con rempi di risposta bassi.

Acer punta agli utenti entry-level business con il Travelmate P249-M. Tra questi ci sono le aziende, i freelancers e gli studenti. Le classiche features business, come lettore di impronte digitali, porta docking o modem LTE, non sono inclusi. Il processore ha potenza sufficiente per le applicazioni quotidiane e difficilmente si scalda. Un veloce SSD garantisce un sistema fluido. Il produttore completa il tutto con una garanzia di 3 anni. Possiamo criticare solo lo schermo in quanto Acer ha scelto un pannello TN, che ha un contrasto decente, ma angoli di visuale e luminosità scarsi.

L'Acer Travelmate P249-M è un affidabile dispositivo da lavoro, che merita un display migliore.

Il nostro modello di test è il modello top della serie, e monta uno schermo FHD, una CPU Core-i5 e un SSD. Se preferite prezzi inferiori, date uno sguardo alla configurazione entry-level (P249-M-3895). Il prezzo per i modelli più economici è di circa 560-580 Euro. Se non vi piace il look del P249-M, raccomandiamo di dare uno sguardo all'Acer Travelmate X349-M, che è più stiloso. L'X349-M monta un sottile case in alluminio, un pannello IPS (P249-M: TN LED), un lettore di impronte digitali e uno slot USB Type C. Il P249-M offre una tastiera migliore e opzioni per l'upgrade.
