Possiamo dire che, come molti dei portatili Medion, questo Erazer Beast X40e centra in pieno i fondamentali e taglia quanto più possibile sui dettagli. È una scelta che può avere senso se si guarda il cartellino del prezzo, e qui le cose si fanno un po' complicate- Il laptop è al momento in vendita presso pochissimi rivenditori: Medion ci aveva indicato una disponibilità italiana per il mese di aprile, ma a maggio inoltrato abbiamo solo un riferimento sul sito ufficiale tedesco. Si parla di 2.699,95€ di listino; è difficile fare paragoni diretti, primo perché non abbiamo riscontri definitivi italiani, secondo perché la combinazione di CPU e GPU è per certi versi insolita. L'ASUS ROG Strix da 18" configurato così ha un prezzo di listino di 2.799€, e si trova già a due o tre centinaia di euro in meno.

Medion: Medion AG è una società Tedesca di elettronica da consumo. Opera in Europa, Stati Uniti, e nell'area Asia-Pacifico. La produzione principale riguarda computers, televisori, frigoriferi, tostiere, e macchine per il fitness. La produzione Medion di laptops è attiva principalmente nel mercato Tedesco, ma in parte anche nel mercato dell'Europa occidentale. La fetta di mercato e le recensioni sono contenute. Principalmente si avvale dei supermarkets come Aldi per la vendita dei suoi.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Mobile:
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).

Intel Comet Lake:
i9-10980HK:
Processore basato sull'architettura Comet Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core del processore con clock a 3.1 - 5 GHz che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processo migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). Al momento dell'annuncio, l'i9-10980HK è la più veloce CPU Comet Lake-H e la più veloce CPU per laptop sul mercato. Grazie al moltiplicatore libero, la CPU può anche essere facilmente overcloccata (ma potrebbe non avere molto headroom).
Intel Raptor Lake-HX:
i9-14900HX: Processore ibrido mobile di fascia alta basato sull'architettura Raptor Lake con 24 core e 32 thread. Il clock è di un massimo di 5,8 GHz (core P).
Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 9 275HX: CPU mobile di fascia alta per notebook da gioco basata sull'architettura Arrow Lake. Offre 24 core composti da 8 core ad alte prestazioni con velocità di clock fino a 5,4 GHz e 16 core di efficienza minore con velocità di clock fino a 4,6 GHz. Normalmente i portatili con diagonale da 17” pesano di più. Il peso è un po' eccessivo per un portatile da 15” ma accettabile per dispositivi destinati ad un utilizzo stazionario.
