Se l'XPS 15 avesse guadagnato un po' di peso, probabilmente assomiglierebbe molto al Precision 7550. Questa workstation mobile di fascia alta abbandona i design super-sottili e sexy della maggior parte dei portatili Nvidia Studio a favore di un "vero e proprio" telaio full-size.

Il modello Precision 7670 ha molte cose sulle spalle. Non solo è disponibile in due opzioni di spessore, ma è anche il primo prodotto commerciale a utilizzare la RAM CAMM e uno dei pochi a essere fornito con la CPU Core i7-12850HX vPro. È buono, ma non privo di difetti.

Furthermore, its backlight doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment, while the full sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 color coverage ensure extremely vibrant colors. They are even somewhat accurate with our Gaming and Web design profile installed. By choosing this display, you will get the benefit of better battery life. We got about 10 hours and 30 minutes of Web browsing, or nearly 9 hours of video playback. What is more interesting, is the choice of memory. Here, you do not only get the opportunity to upgrade your RAM, but you also get to pick the memory type. They are all consisting of DDR5 chips, but the way the modules are mounted to the memory sticks differs. Dell tries to push the CAMM type, which provides higher density, but a more difficult installation. Instead of the “plug and play” SODIMM slots, you need to use a screwdriver. However, for those of you who prefer the tried-and-trusted SODIMM slot, you can do it by either ordering your laptop pre-equipped with the adapter or buying and installing the adapter yourself. Now, let’s talk about performance. Yes, the new-gen products are already here, but we are pretty happy with what the Precision 16 7670 is capable of doing. Well, it doesn’t manage to maintain the full 95W TGP of its RTX A1000 GPU in gaming. But, as you know, this is not a gaming graphics card. And the needs of a professional GPU are more different, as you would more often need to calculate stuff, not in real-time. With IR face recognition and an optional 5G connectivity, the laptop establishes itself as a top dog in the branch. However, we have to say that its price quickly creeps up if you add a high-tier CPU and GPU. However, we guess it might be worth it.

Non è cambiato molto dal punto di vista visivo, ma l'aggiornamento della GPU rispetto al modello Precision 5470 dello scorso anno è significativo e vale la pena prenderlo in considerazione per gli utenti più potenti che desiderano massimizzare le prestazioni da un piccolo formato da 14 pollici.

La sua linea di prodotti comprende desktop, notebook, sistemi di archiviazione, monitor, server, stampanti, elettronica di consumo e periferiche. Dell offre laptop adatti a varie applicazioni, come laptop aziendali, laptop da gioco, ultra portatili e workstation. I laptop aziendali Dell delle serie Latitude e Precision sono un'opzione per utenti professionali e aziende.
Nel 2023, Dell deteneva una quota di mercato di circa il 17% delle vendite globali di PC, classificandosi al terzo posto dopo Lenovo e HP.
Per gli appassionati di giochi, il marchio Alienware di Dell è per i notebook da gioco.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
NVIDIA Quadro T2000 Max-Q:
Scheda grafica dedicata di media gamma per computer portatili basata sul desktop GTX 1660 Ti e quindi sull'architettura Turing senza raytracing e core Tensor. Le prestazioni della variante Max-P dovrebbero essere simili a quelle di una vecchia GTX 1070.
NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q:
Scheda grafica professionale per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip TU104 con 3.072 shaders e 16 GB di VRAM GDDR6. Rispetto alla normale variante mobile, le varianti Max-Q sono cronometrate pi˘ basse e funzionano in modo pi˘ efficiente. Attualmente conosciamo tre varianti con diverse velocit‡ di clock e consumi energetici (80, 85 e 90 W).
NVIDIA RTX A2000 Laptop GPU:
Scheda grafica professionale di fascia media per laptop basata sul chip Ampere GA107 con 2.560 core CUDA. Simile alla GeForce GTX 3050 Ti consumer con driver certificati. Disponibile in diverse varianti di prestazioni che vanno da 35 a 95 W TGP (consumo massimo).
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).
NVIDIA NVIDIA RTX 3000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU:
Una scheda grafica professionale di fascia alta da utilizzare nei laptop dotata di 4.608 core CUDA e 8 GB di VRAM ECC GDDR6. Sarebbe giusto dire che si tratta di una GeForce RTX 4070 (laptop) sotto mentite spoglie. Nata nel 2023, l'RTX 3000 sfrutta il processo a 5 nm di TSMC e l'architettura Ada Lovelace di Nvidia per ottenere prestazioni superiori alla media combinate con un consumo energetico moderato. Questa scheda grafica è abbastanza veloce da eseguire molti giochi a 1440p con impostazioni di alta qualità.

Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10875H:
Processore basato sull'architettura di Coffee Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core di processore con clock a 2,3 - 5,1 GHz (tutti gli 8 core fino a 4,3 GHz) che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processore migliorato a 14nm (14nm++).
W-10885M: Processore basato sull'architettura di Coffee Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core di processore con clock a 2,4 - 5,3 GHz che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processore migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). L'Intel Xeon W-10885M supporta le funzionalità di gestione vPro, TXT e SIPP ed è la versione professionale dell'Intel Core i9-10885H.
Intel Alder Lake-S:
i7-12850HX: CPU mobile basata su Alder Lake con 8 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 24 thread che possono essere elaborati. Il clock della CPU va da 1,5 a 4,8 GHz. La CPU supporta vPro e la memoria ECC, ma non l'overclocking della CPU.
Intel Raptor Lake-H:
i9-13900H: CPU mobile basata su Alder Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 20 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock fino a 5,4 GHz. Rispetto all'i9-13900HK, non è supportato l'overclocking facile, ma è invece supportato il set completo di funzioni di gestione vPro.
